Additional Information

This is a meticulously designed expedition that offers both personality and merit. Shopping for keepsakes in Kenya can be challenging, given the rampant malpractice in uncontrolled open markets and the wide availability of inferior quality merchandise. Tread softly on this comprehensive private journey, with your personal driver/guide ready to assist with language translation, handle weighty goods, and provide counsel when needed. A standard trip comprises visits to four distinguished outlets: Kobe Beads Factory, Utamaduni Crafts Centre, Golden Eagle Art Gallery, and Aqeeq Galleria. Our journey is explicitly designed to give you the pleasing opportunity of purchasing a precious gem in our visit to the gemstone shop. The gemstones variety includes Tanzanite garnet, Amethyst, Rubies, Red Garnets, and Aquamarine, all sourced from mines in Kenya & East Africa. Souvenirs are an affectionate way to recall your travel encounter as they carry a sentimental value to you and your loved ones.

Shopping with a Local - Our guide gave us a great tour to go shopping and also a good overview of the history and culture. He was patient, asked us our interests and addressed them well.

Perfect Day! - This is real value for money. Kelvin was very flexible with my schedule and itinerary. I even managed to insert a one hour meeting at the office! And a trip to the Karen Museum. The shops we visited all had good quality. Be prepared to shop! Kelvin is a young intelligent man and it was a treat to talk with him and understand Kenya and Kenyans. I’m very glad I booked this at the last minute. I made good buys, met some interesting people, and had good conversations. Perfect day!

Discovery of Art in Kenya - Kelvin took us to places we needed to see and buy our souvenirs. Also, some of the places were full of art works to admire the beautiful art created my Kenyans.

Amazing tour with with great value for money - Everyone should do this tour. Kelvin was the best, he gave us so much information about Nairobi and the history of the city and the different tribes of Kenya. The shopping experience was great. We went to kobe bead factory and learned about how ceramic beads are made and the history behind how single mothers are being empowered by the art they are producing there. We also went to the art gallery workshop. It was so beautiful before stopping and having lunch in the beautiful gardens. Our visit to the jewellery store was perfect. Great prices for all budgets. 10/10 experience and some great gifts bought to take back home.
