Great day- Love Stepheb - We had one day in Nairobi and booked this tour- it was efficient and just what we wanted to source a few local finds. Stephen was fantastic/ prompt/knowledgeable and took us to the main stops in the Karen area which was beautiful. I suggest making your purchases at the Utamaduni Artisans of Africa market- you don’t have to haggle and the prices are fair and the goods are really beautiful. All in all a great day! Ask for Stephen!

Highly Recommended & COVID safe - Highly recommended for a great tour and because they followed COVID19 safety standards. Our driver Stephen picked us up promptly and on time from our hotel. He showed us his COVID19 vaccination certificate proving full vaccination of two doses, wore a surgical mask the entire time and consistently offered hand sanitizer. We continued to tour several different cultural shopping centers and he tailored our tour to fit our needs. He was very respectful, friendly, knowledgeable about the area and helped us identify good quality souvenirs. Furthermore he helped us when some of the vendors would haggle or if we needed interpretation. Additionally, the tour allowed the opportunity to stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Lastly, the tour company was very responsive with emails and had great customer service. We highly recommend this tour company and want to thank Stephen for a fantastic tour.

Let Patrick be your guide! - Hello again! This was a great trip and if you are willing to go off the beaten path, I would definitely take this one. My amazing guide Patrick took great care of me, driving through the insane traffic of Nairobi. Our first stop was Utamaduni Artisans of Africa and all I can say is WOW. The organization is very organic, so you go to the various shops and pick out your wares. At the end of the shopping, you pay in one place. They take all credit cards so you don't need cash. Also, they have prices on EVERYTHING and that helps in budgeting. I asked my wonderful guide and driver to take me to the Nairobi Textile Center as I am a seamstress and it was also great. Three floors of fabrics and all the wax prints you could ever want! The prices are sooo reasonable and the women selling the fabric are more than accommodating. The busy Nairobi streets are fascinating but also packed and hectic. Be prepared for traffic. Patrick was the BEST driver and guide as he kept us both safe during our journey.

Not so great - We went to the bead factory which was great but then rather than the huge Masaii. Market went to 3 other stores .we were taken to a nice place for lunch also the Giraffe orphanage when we made it clear that we wanted to do more as our driver was clearly hoping we would wrap up early which we were annoyed by .By the way this trip and all these tours were my adult son and myself and Viator dies NOT provide that option

Cancelled - I canceled this trip because I was in Zanzibar about a week ago then confirmed a couple of days ago because I was not in Kenya. I don’t have an opinion just don’t want to get changed for it. Thanks! Deborah Bryon

Terrible, not a tour - AWFUL! Nothing as advertised. This is not a tour. If you're looking for a guide to help you with cultural shopping, look elsewhere. As soon as we started driving, the driver/guide started asking us intrusive questions about our jobs and salaries, then pushing us to book him for an airport ride. The tour advertised 8 hours ($90 per person), but the driver insisted on committing to only 4 hours. When we pressed him that we paid for a full day, we discovered that he double booked himself to drive someone else to the airport. From then, he started to rush us and weasel his way out of the commitment. He only drove us to multiple locations where he sat chatting and having coffee with the staff in those places. He did not help us at all with understanding the culture, communicating with the vendors, showing us around, or bargaining for a fair price, even though we explicitly asked for all of these things at the beginning of the "tour". He left us on our own the whole time, until the 4 hours were over and he pressured us to cut the tour short. We insisted that we get another driver to continue the tour for the amount that we paid for. During the remainder of the booking, the other driver was not with us at all, so we had to carry heavy bags the whole time instead of being able to put them in the car. Also, we only had the phone number of the new driver who we have never seen before so we couldn't recognize him if we saw him. When we demanded that someone be present with us, he didn't take it seriously and started cracking jokes about it. We also asked for specific stops before we started the tour and he agreed to it, then he wanted to back out so we pressed him to hold his end of the agreement and take us there. Honestly, this all could've been done using an uber to go to the Utamaduni Craft Centre (where we saw almost everything that was in the other stops and more) and the kuzuri bead factory and any other mall. This has been a total waste of time and money on top of being a very distressing experience. STAY AWAY!
