Early Morning Departure: The tour begins very early in the morning (around 4:30 AM) from Kathmandu. You’ll be picked up from your hotel.
Drive to Nagarkot: You’ll embark on a scenic drive to Nagarkot, which is approximately 32 kilometers (20 miles) east of Kathmandu.
Nagarkot Sunrise: Upon reaching Nagarkot viewpoint to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the Himalayas. On clear days, you can see several prominent peaks.
Day Hike (3 hours): After breakfast, the day hike begins. Day hike starts from Nagarkot to Telkot exploring the surrounding villages and forests. During hike, we have opportunities to observe local culture, architecture, and natural beauty then we return back to Kathmandu.

Embarking on the Nagarkot sunrise tour coupled with a day hike is an amazing opportunity to witness the awe-inspiring sunrise panorama over the Himalayas from Nagarkot, while also immersing oneself in the area’s remarkable natural splendor within a single day. The journey starts around 4:00 AM with our pick-up service from your accommodation in Kathmandu. It typically takes 1.5 to 2 hours to reach Nagarkot, arriving there just in time to experience the sunrise. The Nagarkot Tower is a famous location for observing the splendid sunrise over the Himalayan range.
The day hike begins in Nagarkot post-breakfast. Nestled amid picturesque landscapes, Nagarkot boasts numerous hiking paths of various lengths and difficulty levels. A well-loved hiking route is from Nagarkot to Telkot, taking hikers through layered fields, woods, and enchanting hamlets offering enriching cultural and scenic delights along the route. Once at Telkot, we ride back to Thamel in our vehicle.

Amazing ! - I used Treklanders Adventures services 3 times :
Nagarkot (with a friend), Ghorepani Poonhill (with 5 friends) and Annapurna Base camp (alone). I always had a very good experience with Ram, Bikash, Niroj, Nirmal, and Gokul. They were super nice, gave informations about mountains, altitude, trek... I felt very safe. I would recommend them at 100%

Watch the sunrise, enjoy a scenic breakfast and hike - Today, the boss of the tour guide company came directly to pick me up. I happened to be the only one participating in the hiking today. He arrived at the hotel on time to pick me up, and drove me safely along the way to the viewing location. In addition to the popular sunrise viewing location, he also took me to another After watching the sunrise, the most important thing is the breakfast arrangement. The boss took me to a very beautiful hotel for breakfast. It has a very wide, good view and beautiful scenery. The meals are also good. I hiked along the way because there are only I participated in the hiking and had a lot of chats with the boss. It was a very good experience!

Need to book this one! - We ordered a sunrise tour and day hike in Nagarkot last minutes.
Very clear information was given via WhatsApp before departure. The guide Ram was waiting for us on time in the lobby of our hotel.
The day tour and sunrise was very beautiful and the guide gave us a lot of information about Nepalese culture, nature, etc.
A very nice guide who is open to a nice chat and knew a lot to tell us.
The hikers also move at the pace of the hikers and there is plenty of time to take nice pictures and enjoy the view.
Definitely recommended if you want to do a quiet hike and are not a super trained hiker!

Truly a wonderful experience! Shout out to Ram as our tour guide! - My fiancé, myself and a friend of ours was in Kathmandu for a work trip. We had a 1 day off and decided to go on a tour at Nagarkot to watch the sunrise. We booked the tour via Klook and we met Ram as our tour guide. He definitely is the perfect role model as a tour guide. Everything about him is top notch, be it his personality, his knowledge, everything. Really had a wonderful time with him and truly is a pleasure having him as our tour guide! Thank you Ram! Highly recommend him to be your tour guide if anyone had a choice.

Stunning views - Amazing views of all the different ranges right at the top. Beautiful but it was really freezing before the sun rose, so really layer up to enjoy yourself more! Breakfast was equally stunning with a view of the mountains and a wide spread. Trek back down was lots of fun with the views of the villages and different animals in the area. Guide was knowledgeable and driver was friendly & kept us safe. we had the best time. Thank you for the lovely experience :-)

I want to go back!!! - I've really looked forward about this program. And they satisfied by hope so if I go back to Nepal, I will ask here to take me another place also.
I cannot forget the moment that I saw the view of Himalaya until now....
I could eat breakfast right infront(?) of the mountain...!! It was wonderful.

Amazing experience - We had an amazing time with Ram at Nagarkot. The sunrise was beautiful and the view of the mountains was incredible. We had breakfast with stunning views. The walk was through a lovely village and Ram pointed out the best spots for photos. It was great to talk with Ram, he shared a lot of information about Nepal and living in Nepal. He gave us information about our upcoming treks (despite already booking through another company)- He is also a trek guide. Thank you Ram for our experience, we had a great time 🙏

Amazing trips with Treklanders Adventures - The view of sunrise was amazing. The guide Ram explained all the mountain range and view seen from there very clearly. In future also I again choose Treklanders Adventures for other tours and trekking. Highly Recommend!!

Good break from Kathmandu - The guide came ahead of time to make sure we left on time. Unfortunately it was cloudy, but that's nothing they can do about it.
The breakfast was better than expected, as you could choose different things from a buffet - if it had been less cloudy, I think the view from the breakfast place would have been good.
The area afterwards of hiking was nothing special but a nice combination as it is a good drive for a sunrise from Kathmandu.
The guide had a good personal who helped so early in the morning. The amount of talk and how fast you walk can be adjusted depending on who you are
