Additional Information

Get up early to see Mumbai as few others do!\n\nMumbai is on the go 24 hours a day and if you take the effort to wake up a little bit early, you can experience a completely different side of the city which few get to see!\n\nMumbai at dawn appears quieter than normal initially, but when you enter the various markets (fruit, meat, fish) you will be woken up by the size and energy of these places with its people carrying, cleaning, selling and hustling. The fragrant smells of the spices, vegetables and fruit linger in the air as you pass by but so do the fish and the meat. The meat market is not for the faint hearted (you can choose to skip this) and even the most ardent carnivores might raise an eyebrow at the fate of the thousands of poor chickens. \n\nThe pace does change as you will also enter a Hindu and Jain Temple, seeing Mumbai’s residents undertake their morning daily rituals and understanding more about these two religions. You will also get the opportunity to feed the sacred cows.

Fantastic custom dawn market and temple tour - A lovely experience! We were able to amend our itinerary and skip out some of the locations we had already been to which enabled us more times in the market and temple . The vegetable and flower market were very interesting ( wear good footwear and avoid the squidgy bits) So many positive smells and colours , hustle and bustle , and customers just getting on with their morning routine . So glad that we went ! The temple was beautiful, very interesting to see prayer and the privilege to be in the same room was fascinating. Would recommend asking for an itinerary before you depart so you can knock off the places you’ve been to so you can throughly enjoy the market . Our lovely guide also took us for a lovely chai , which was great to drink on the street with the locals! Our guide was fantastic, Nano , and our driver - who didn’t speak much English but far better than any other language that I can speak for sure ! Just a really great day !
