Above and Beyond…. - We met our tour guide, Wendy, on a rain threatening day. Her plans for us were already perfect but she did ask if we wanted to do or see anything special. We told he we would like to see a kiwi (as in bird) and a kiwi (as in fruit) farm. Her plans included a drive to Rotorua to visit the New Zeeland Māori Arts and Craft Institute (a MUST DO) where we were beautifully acquainted with the Māori culture AND SAW A KIWI BIRD! At the end of the presentation at the Institute Wendy met us with freshly purchased golden kiwis to sample and on the drive back to our ship Wendy stopped at a kiwi farm where we were up close to ripening kiwis awaiting harvest. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! THANK YOU WENDY

Fab guide for our quick stop in port - We organized Wendy to collect us from Tauranga port on a customized tour for 8 of us. Wendy was very good at communicating with us prior to the trip to help lock in the best itinerary. Wendy also rebooked a number of tickets for various sites to save some time when we got there. We ended up going to Te Puia, gondola and Luge experience and stopped by a kiwi farm along the way. Ended up at a beautiful beach nearby our ship. Wendy was fab and highly recommended.

Great excursion from Tauranga - I was planning this trip for over a year. We wanted to go to Rotorua from our cruise ship and I came across this private tour. I can’t say enough good things about Wendy, our operator. She was extremely patient and kind when I communicated with her. We were able to customize our trip. With Wendy’s help we came up with a great day. You won’t be disappointed if you decide to book with Wendy!!!

Wendy is fantasic!! - We were coming in on a cruise ship and booked this excursion wanting to have something more private. Wendy had great communication and even asked us to come a little bit early since we were in Port earlier that day and the weather was not the best. The tour was great we had six in our group and Wendy gave us lots of details and even was very thoughtful since 2 of us had luggage was lost to stop to try to find sandals since we only had one pair of footwear. She able to get us to all the things we wanted to see with our time in Port being less than it was initially supposed to be. She even found a place where I could put my feet in the water and I appreciate that. I would recommend Wendy and this tour to anybody who was visiting or coming in via the cruise ship. We were told about the Ruby red kiwi and meat pies. We were able to find it in another port to try it thanks for the recommendation it was delicious

Great tour with Wendy - highly recommended! - We too arranged the tour online and communication with Wendy was excellent. She was waiting for us as we exited our cruise boat dock, and the beginning of the tour was a drive along Mt Maunganui Main Beach (with photo stops). We then visited the Redwoods followed by time in Te Puia (where Wendy made sure that we saw everything) and a drive around Rotorua. Wendy was very knowledgeable and keen to make sure that we really enjoyed our tour (which we did!).

Lovely / fun/ knowledgeable - Great experience with Wendy sharing so much about the area as we travelled. Beautiful area. Her suggestion if we had time was to take the ferry to devenport which is a beautiful little town, wonderful shops and restaurants. Wendy is wonderful.

A unique experience - Wendy was wonderful! She was very informative and respectful of our time. Our ship cut our time shorter, so she squeezed in as much as possible. We would highly recommend this tour.

Beautiful tour tailored for a multigenerational trip - When we got up the morning of our private tour, we believed we were doomed for a miserable day in pouring rain and wind. Instead, Wendy showed us a magical journey for our multigenerational group of 6 (grandparents, parents, and 2 young kids). - We strolled through misty majestic redwoods lined with silver ferns in drizzling rain. - Learned about the Maori culture and were thoroughly entertained in their songs, dances, and Haka show. Then, we toured the living Maori village (Whakarewarewa) and saw the different geothermal pools and geysers. - Saw a variety breeds of sheep at Agrodome and watched a show which includes shearing a sheep and milking a cow. We also had a tour of the farm where we could feed the sheep and alpacas. We all had a wonderful time, and are grateful for Wendy's thoughtfulness to turn a bad-weather day into one filled with beautiful memories!
