Wonderful Donkey Riding Experience - If you are visiting Fes (or even Meknes) and plan to spend time at the Volubilis ruins, I would strongly consider going to Moulay Idriss Zerhoun and taking advantage of the unique opportunity of riding donkeys to the ruins. This city is high on two hills and has an unmatched view of the surrounding area in a quiet that is so overwhelming. The trip by donkey takes about an hour, and I have to thank Dar Zerhoune for being flexible as I needed to switch days due to changes in itinerary. The donkeys were peaceful and a unique riding experience. Minders come with you and follow you down to the ruins as you ride the donkey. For the price, and the overall experience, this was such a wonderful addition to my travel experience in Morocco. Thank you, Dar Zerhoune!
