Additional Information

The Lemosho route is considered one of the easier routes on Kilimanjaro, as its longer itinerary allows for better acclimatization. However, hikers will still need to ascend the Barranco Wall and climb steeply on summit night.

The 8-day Lemosho climb gives one of the highest success rates, rather than trying to squeeze the climb into 7 days. The extra day allows for a shorter pre-summit day, meaning that you arrive at base camp by lunchtime, fuel up with food, and tuck up in your tent to rest for what will be a tough summit ascent starting at midnight.

Experienced and already acclimatised mountaineers may opt for the more difficult 7-day ascent along the Lemosho route.

No technical climbing is required, but a good level of fitness is recommended.

Great Safari and Kilimanjaro Trekking - My wife and I had a great time on the 8 days Kilimanjaro Lemosho climb and 6 days safari following the migration. This was our first trip in Tanzania and it tuned out better than we thought it would be. Pinnacle planned and delivered perfectly. Our Kilimanjaro trip with Chief guide Abdul and his crew of porters, chef and his assistant Paul was full of many incredible moments culminating with our success at the summit. The safari in Serengeti with John our guide also very impressive. We saw 3 different river crossings. We were very impressed by the whole tour and will definitely return soon for a different experience.

Highly Reccommend Pinnacle Team - I highly recommend Pinnacle Adventures & Safaris for either a Kilimanjaro trek or a safari. We did the 8 day Lemosho route on Kili and all 4 of us summited. Our guides were excellent- very knowledgeable, caring, and a lot of fun. The equipment was excellent and our personal gear was well-cared for. Our safari experience was wonderful and the accommodations were awesome.

Excellent and Very Professional - Pinnacle adventures and our team lead by main guide Justin JT did an excellent job leading us tonthe summit of Kilimanjaro. Everything was very professional but also personal. They even went the extra mile and helped my son through some minor altitude sickness but got us to the top. Would highly recommend this company.

Fantastic trip and service - From start to finish, Pinnacle were excellent. The preparations for our trip were clear, helpful - with the detail that we required and with all our questions readily answered. The trip itself was great - all support was provided to allow us to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro! We had excellent guides, fantastic porters (including Sam, who could miraculously fix broken sunglasses, trekking poles and head lamps half way up a mountain, in the middle of nowhere). All of the crew bent over backward to help us. They were all happy, helpful and made us feel very comfortable! To top it all, we had a chef who consistently provided wonderful meals, including chicken and chips at 4,300m and soups that tasted better than in top restaurants!! All in all I would strongly recommend Pinnacle Adventures and would be pleased to trek with them any time.

Pinnacle is best local tours in Tanzania, for solo travellers and family. - Pinnacle is the best local tours for tanzania , I planned for kilimanjaro hike + safari . I asked Lidya (the office lady) last minute for my holiday arrangement they arranged it for me even betrer than i could imagine. Pinnacle have best guides for kili. I did finish my UHURU peak, my guide made sure I drink water on time, was with me always. It was fun. Safari guide knew about animal and the park very well. I got to see most of the animals very close. They are professional, have got good cooks, best guides and very strong porters .They even arrange free stay for you in case your flight schedule changes. I would definitely give five star. I recommend Pinnacle for solo travelers too.

Excellent stuff and Infrastructure - Pinnacle Team were absolutely brilliant; Sam, and his wonderful team helped us reach the summit of Kilimanjaro on a 8-day climb back in September 2018. His team went above and beyond - the food was surprisingly good, they were friendly and when medical attention was required for someone with a stomach virus, they were brilliant in looking after our friend and seeking medical advice and drugs for treatment. Of the 9 of us, 8 reached the summit and one all made it to at least 5,000m which is an incredible achievement and would certainly not have possible without the amazing Pinnacle team around us. I would strongly recommend Pinnacle to anyone and I would do it with them again if I managed to convince any of my family members to go! Pinnacle also organized out trip to Zanzibar and it was epic.

Lemosho route, 8 days route, quiet ("non-touristic"), beautiful scenery and plenty of time to acclimatize. - I owe this report to a lot of people. I suck at writing my travel experience after returning, so here is a short version of my Kili climb in March 2016 (1st to 9th). It all started on Lonely Planet Group - Climbing Kilimanjaro about the 1st March - need others! :) . I joined someone who booked a route that suited me at the right time for me (I wanted to summit for my birthday). The trek was organized by Pinnacle Adventure & Safaris, our contact was a Frazier. Basically and despite this pyramidal scheme, everything went smoothly and both Frazier and Our Guide Peter, and the crew were super nice and very helpful (they even gave me some cash due to credit card failure…) Route: we took the Lemosho route, 8 days route, quiet ("non-touristic"), beautiful scenery and plenty of time to acclimatize. Summit night is not that easy because you need all of the following to succeed: - drinking PLENTY of water since the beginning of the trek (2-3 liters per day) - having the right gears (camel back, breathable clothes, EXTRA WARM gloves - I froze my fingers despite 2 layers of warm gloves) - REST: sleeping well for 7 nights in a tent is not guaranteed. Any of this point missing, you will have to fight harder: doesn't mean you're not going to make it but it-will-be-harder. The summit night we had a temperature of -20 / -25C: this made things more complicated… This is Africa: your guide will be late, a couple of things may be missing but Our Guide and his crew were top notch and the climb was AMAZING. LIFE TIME EXPERIENCE. We had some rain around days 4-5, other than that, the Lemosho route was fantastic. I made the photos album public on facebook, enjoy the trip :) Kilimanjaro - March 2016

Simply the BEST! - A group of 9 friends from London, Monaco and France booked for Kilimanjaro Trek Lemosho route with Pinnacle Adventures. Communication with Brian, our trip planner was easy as he was patient and responsive in planning our climb. The climb was challenging but with the support of the excellent mountain crew made it doable. Our incredible crew was instrumental to our 100% success; professional guidance, delicious meals, regular health checks, top class equipment and funny company.
