Additional Information
The Etna sunset excursion is one of the most suggestive summer tours, as it allows you to visit, aboard our 4 × 4, some of the most interesting places on Etna until sunset. You will admire the Valle del Bove, an immense amphitheater that tells the geological history of the volcano. You will walk on the edge of some side craters where you can admire the panorama from 2000 meters and the extinguished lava flows of various eras. Finally, you will admire the colors of the Etna sunset while enjoying a sweet aperitif based on almond and raisin wine.
IMPORTANT NOTES: If you have a car we recommend that you reach our meeting point in Trecastagni in MontataGrande where you will find free and safe parking.
LANGUAGE: During the high season there may be overbooking of reservations for one language. In this case, a tour leader speaking the selected language will be guaranteed in the scheduled stages of the tour.
- Closed tennis or trekking shoes compulsory. No sandals!

Mount Etna 4x4 sunset tour - We had the most amazing and fun time on our Mount Etna sunset tour. Our guide Pierpaolo was extremely knowledgeable, fun and enthusiastic and made it a truly memorable experience. Simply brilliant!!

Beauty, Adventure and Informative - We had a great time on the tour of Mt Etna at Sunset. Our hosts were extremely knowledgeable about volcanic activity and the history of the volcano and it’s effects on Sicily and the surrounding towns. The walk through the Lava tube was an informative and exciting addition. The view of Sunset was spectacular. We never would have found such a perfect spot on our own. The almond and pistachio cookies and Moscato was a nice touch.

Beautiful and informative - Pier Paolo was an excellent guide! He was very knowledgeable and happy to answer our many questions. We loved the sweets and wine he provided at the end of the trip as we enjoyed the sunset.

Etna adventure at sunset - The tour was well organized, the jeep was comfortable, and the guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience the impressive beauty and fascinating history of Etna up close. The highlight was the sunset. It was an unforgettable trip that I would highly recommend to any nature lover and adventure seeker.

Volcanos, rainbows, cookies, and caves! - My Mom and I had a really fun time on this tour even though the weather conditions weren’t great. The conditions were even worse the day we initially scheduled the tour for and they did a fantastic job of reaching out to reschedule us for the following day. The communication was really appreciated. Our tour guide, Lucca, was awesome and super knowledgeable about Mt Etna, geology, and the surrounding area. He answered all of our questions and injected a little humor here and there, which was appreciated. Due to the rainy weather, we got a beautiful rainbow at one of the lookout points. Enjoying almond wine with almond cookies in the lava tube/cave was super memorable. Also, the meeting point was beautifully designed with ceiling to floor glass windows and gorgeous views. You can order a coffee, drinks, snacks, and taste and/or purchase their delicious jams and sauces. Highly recommend this tour!

sunny Etna - Excellent trip with a very knowledgable guide. It was worth every penny as we gently drove up Etna stopping at various places ending up at close to the top to watch the sunset. Amazing when you are 2000metres up how much colder it is - we left Catania in the heat of 29'C to the evening cool of Etna at around 15'C - take a jacket!

Interesting but didn’t see the volcano the top as we hoped - The guide was very knowledgeable and we did learn so much. But were disappointed that the trip was not as long and therefore we were not able to get to the top
