Highlights
  • Itria Valley - Along countryside lanes , among Trulli, Masserie and dry-stone walls, I will show you the places I love and live in my everyday life. We will cycle together for 20 km (about 12 miles).\n\nWe’ll leave from Alberobello, capital of Trulli, heading to Locorotondo, one of the most stunning towns in Valle d’Itria. Here, we’ll get to know the locals and stop by a traditional deli where we will have the chance to taste the typical Apulian focaccia, just baked by Giovanni, filled with your favorite charcuterie and vegetables and washed down by a glass of good wine or a drink of your choice.\n\nThen, before returning to Alberobello, we’ll stop at Maria’s bakery to eat some local almond cookies and along the way, we’ll taste seasonal fruits, hand-picking right from the trees (cherries, fichi, fioroni, pears, blackberries and mulberries, depending on the season). Our tour ends with an amazing tasting of Apulian rosolii. (a typical homemade liqueur)\n\n- Centro Storico Locorotondo - We will cross the streets of the historic center with our E-Bikes until we arrive at Mr. Giovanni’s bakery to taste the typical Apulian focaccia

Additional Information

Riding along rustic lanes, traversing trulli, farmhouses, and dry stone walls, I will introduce you to the places I cherish and journey through daily. We’ll be cycling together for 20 km (roughly 12 miles).

Our journey commences from Alberobello, known as the capital of the trulli, making our way towards Locorotondo, the most charming village in the Valle d’Itria. We’ll be stopping at a local bakery for a delicious treat.
We’ll savor the distinctive Apulian focaccia fresh from the oven, crafted by Giovanni, along with a glass of savory wine.
Following that, we’ll visit Signora Maria’s patisserie on our way back to Alberobello, tasting traditional almond pastries.

During our return journey, we’ll enjoy seasonal fruits plucked directly from the tree (such as cherries, figs, fioroni, pears, blackberries, mulberries).

This isn’t going to be a typical sightseeing excursion, nor an ordinary e-bike tour. It will be a mini adventure spotlighting local life and off the beaten path experiences.

  • Participants need to be a minimum height of 163 cm (5’4 ft).

Wonderful ebike tour to Locorotondo - The ebike your was excellent. We rode through rolk by Hill's enjoying the beautiful scenery. You wind up in the picturesque town of Locorotondo, it’s simply breath taking! We were impressed with the ebikes. While the biles are “peddle assist,” they made the ride easy and, we only had to minimally exert ourselves. This experience is worth doing, in fact, we will do it again!

Informative-interesting -fun and delicious eBike tour. - JP was our enthusiast local guide who shared so much of his passion for the local and surrounding communities around Alberobello. He speaks English/Spanish and Italian which made for ease in conversation about all the history of the areas we visited. We stopped in a piazza for focaccia and wine, toured the quant streets of Locorotondo where JP offered explanations of the history, views and architecture. The dessert stop was just right. The eBikes make for easy assisted riding while still getting exercise. The backroads riding gives you a real idea of the surrounding farms and residential homes. It was so lovely! The additional recommendations on local wines and restaurant Terra Madre was spot on. He really loves what he does which was evident in making our experience with him so fun and interesting. He made it so we want to return again. We highly recommend this tour.

Best view of Trulli homes and countryside - JP was the best host! He watched over us on a very warm day and made sure we were all well rested. His knowledge of the area was great because he lived there. Highly recommend.

Puglia Up close - Giampiero was an excellent guide and we really enjoyed seeing the Apulian countryside at a slower pace. A fantastic way to immerse all five senses. The bikes and helmets were in great condition. Having a follow car was also nice reassurance.
