I'm glad we were able to see the penguins efficiently in just half a day!!! - There are many one-day tours, but if you just want to see the Penguin Parade, this tour that departs around 14:30 in Melbourne is enough! It was great that we could efficiently go around the visitor center, the town where you can have dinner, and the Penguin Parade by car! We have time to have dinner in the town (in Phillip Island) where there are restaurants and supermarkets, but it's a bit hectic, so if possible, I think it's a good idea to buy sandwiches in Melbourne in advance and bring them with you. Also, taking photos of the Penguin Parade after sunset is prohibited, but sometimes young penguins can be seen from the deck on the way to the viewing area, so if you come across them, it's a chance to take photos! It's night and there is a sea breeze during the viewing, so don't forget to prepare warm clothes!
