Great walking tour with Sebastien! - My husband and I recently did a full day tour with Sebastien as our guide. This was the first "private" tour we have done and it won't be the last! I was able to send Sebastien a 2 page list of places we were interested in seeing - he was then able to work up a tentative route ahead of time. We ticked every item but one off the list!! We did a lot of walking, heard a lot of interesting historical facts and stories and got several suggestions of other interesting places to visit in Melbourne. I would take another tour with City Unscripted again!

I do try and find a day one tour, and this worked well - I find that a day 1 tour of a new city helps you orient yourself and feel more comfortable for the rest of the trip, as well as plan better what things you want to see and when. On this one we made a well planned loop of the central city, helping me understand it better both in terms of layout and culture.
BTW, if you are visiting Melbourne, go see the Old Gaol. It's a cooler museum than it sounds like. Also, the town makes surprisingly high quality chocolate.

Chris is a great local guide - I had a stop of several hours in MEL and I seized to take the tour of the city with Chris. It was an excelent experience despite that the weather was a bit rainy in some moments. Chris have a lot of knowledge on a number of topics besides just the city which made the tour very interesting.

Got a very high level... - Got a very high level view and description of various key sites and buildings. The guide was ok and did not come across as being very friendly to tourists .. didn’t feel comfortable asking him to take pictures , which is very important for a tourist
