Highlights
  • Kasbah Museum - The kasbah is a heavily restored walled fortress that now contains a lovely garden, a small ethnographic museum, and an even smaller art gallery. The ethnographic museum contains some fascinating views of old Chefchaouen, including the plaza and the kasbah; the gallery promotes the work of local artists. The views from the kasbah tower over the medina are a delight.
  • Chefchaouen Medina - Chefchaouen, or Chaouen, is a city in the Rif Mountains of northwest Morocco. It’s known for the striking, blue-washed buildings of its old town. Leather and weaving workshops line its steep cobbled lanes. In the shady main square of Place Outa el Hammam is the red-walled Kasbah, a 15th-century fortress and dungeon, and Chefchouen Ethnographic Museum. The octagonal minaret of the Great Mosque rises nearby.

Daytrip - Book it it's definitely worth it! Our Driver Abdullah was lovely. There's no pressure to book a Guide. If you want to explore Chefchaouen by your own you can or if you want to you can book a guide.

Great trip with amazing driver Driss - The trip from Fez to Volublis, Moulay Idris and Meknes was great! We had a wonderful driver Driss, who provided so much information throughout the journey, answered all of our questions and was great fun! The sights were very interesting and I highly recommend choosing the option with guides for each stop as that is really how you get the most from the trip! It was really great

Learn about the blue from a local - We family of four with adult children had a great time in this 12 hour day trip Communication before was excellent and pick up was without a hitch. Our driver Mustapha was friendly and an excellent driver, even in the rain coming back. Mohamed our guide in Chefchaouen spoke excellent English and grew up there. We enjoyed his perspective and warmth and generally just had a great time with him. Like lots of guides in Morocco He was generous with his time and we never felt rushed … our only complaint was that the folks in the back felt a bit cramped and would have preferred a larger vehicle for a group of 4. But otherwise this was an excellent, well organized and run tour.

Great Ride - Positive: The van was very comfortable and clean. The driver drove very safely and stopped once to provide a break to the passengers. The ride was scenic it was worth it. Negative: There was a bit of confusion regarding which bus to put people on. they were trying to sort by language. That could have been organized a little better. The guide in Chefchaouen was useless. He hardly said a thing. The tour lasted barely an 45 minutes.

Rainy day in Chefchaouen - Beautiful Chefchaouen. Did not like the music playing 8 hours in the bus. Guide was not speeking loudly and clearly and did not state clearly that it was a 10 minute walk back to the bus.

It was okay - It takes 4 hours from fes. When we arrived at the blue city local guide took us around but he speaks really small and I barely listened to what he said… We had 3 hours and half to stay there. I think that was enough to take photogenic photos. Nothing else so I think this tour is depending on people. If you want to photogenic photos then it might worth. But it takes 8 hours round trip to take several photos lol
