Highlights
  • Trou aux Cerfs - Begin your 7-8 hours southwest scenic tour with a hotel pick-up anywhere in Mauritius. You will meet & be greeted by our certified guide and after boarding to your comfortable vehicle, then set off for your first stop.

You’ll be heading to Trou Aux Cerfs which is one of the famous natural tourist attractions in Mauritius. The dormant volcanic crater is around 605 meters above sea level, with a diameter of 350 meters & a depth of around 100 meters.

Unlike the typical volcanic features, Trou aux Cerfs’ crater is surrounded by a vast area of lush forest consisting of indigenous plant species and some giant green pine trees. It is believed that the Trou aux Cerfs erupted once and has remained dormant for the last 700 000 years; experts believe that there is a potential chance for it to become active again.

Definitely, one of the main highlights is the 360-degree view of the town, Curepipe & the majestic view of Rempart Mountain, Trois Mamelles, and the Port-Louis- Moka mountain range.

A good choice of tour to book and we enjoyed every minute. Thank you. - We were met on time by Yash, the whole day was very well planned. We were not able to go to the 7 colour earth due to road erosion so Yash took us to the 23 colour earth instead. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable and was able to answer our questions with ease. He is a credit to the company as a tour guide and would not have any problems booking him again. We felt really looked after from start to finish.

Average - Average. We got no less and no extra. Daron our driver kept it to basics and wasn't very chatty or informative but he was pleasant. Safari park was rushed and needed more time. Lunch was tasty and was hi light. The temple, waterfall and statues was interesting. Shame didn't include the coloured sands and trip felt very rushed.

Day in Mauritius - The safari park was very disorganized but we went on a Sunday which may explain the lack of staffing. Our driver was great but not very forthcoming with information.

We expected more... - We hoped to see many locations in one day, but it didn't work out that way... As soon as we got into the car, the driver-guide told us that we would not be able to see all the locations listed in this tour this day. We asked why then you make such a description and that we paid to see everything that was indicated, not just a part. Further: Lunch was supposed to be in a cafe, which looked very dirty and old. We refused to have lunch there (we were afraid of getting poisoned), but we were not offered any alternative. In the afternoon, when we went to the Alexandra waterfall, it was already closed (due to the weather), but the program stated that the waterfall would be until noon (then it was open, and we could have visited it, if the driver had not decided to change the route). On the good side, we really liked Сasela Park. We had a good time there.

Instead of a full... - Instead of a full excursion program, we were taken only to Casella Park and two observation decks, we did not visit the rest of the places, the driver said that the road was closed and the company was not to blame. No one warned us in advance. Instead of a full-fledged excursion, it's a waste of time. We could have gone to Casella Park on our own - we chose the tour because we wanted to visit all the points
