Rain or shine, this tour is worth it! - During a trip to Italy in April 2024, we booked this guided tour in advance. Since rain was forecasted for our afternoon in Matera, the tour company reached out and offered us the opportunity to reschedule. However, our plans couldn't accomodate this change. Thankfully, the tour guide was still willing to meet up with us, so we went for it! After a quick stop to buy an umbrella, our walk in Matera started with rain, but we got lucky as it really didn't last long. Our guide was a proud local, which is special as he understands and appreciates both the old and the new. He kept us engaged with his knowledge and even asked us some questions along the way. The sites we visited were truly amazing and the views were stunning. Matera is an ancient city unlike anything you've ever seen and is truly worth your time, especially when accompanied by the perfect tour guide!
