Fantastic day out - We are a family with two boys (17 and 15). All four of us had a great time on this trip. Yannis was our good humoured driver, guide, historian, botanist, conversationalist, quiz master, everything! Everything on the tour was great from the first stops at the Roman tomb (followed by the traditional Greek breakfast) to the various other stops, the monastery, including the off-road trip, the 20-minute walk through the gorge and the fabulous hidden beach at the end. The visit to Matala. Peace! The lunch was fabulous, generous and tasty. Thanks again Yannis for a fabulous day! Definitely the highlight of our holidays

Fantastic day trip, worth every penny. - A highlight of our first trip to Crete! Mario was our tour guide, he was amazing. So kind, funny & an extremely good driver (!!) he made everyone feel safe on them off road tracks, he was fantastic. The tour takes you on a walk of about 25 mins or so to the “hidden beach”, along the way you stop off for some history which is great! Mario takes the walk at a very reasonable pace, and is considerate. The first stop was a little village (St Thomas I believe?). Here we stopped at a little cafe for Raki and breads, very authentic. We had 20 mins free time, so we wandered around the little streets admiring the old Greek houses and beautiful buildings. We then went to the first beach, which is beautiful, we arrived earlier than other tours which meant we basically had the place to ourselves. It was amazing, we loved every minute of this. We had approximately 1 hr 30 mins here, plenty time to swim and take in the surroundings. This part alone was worth it for us, as this beach isn’t easily accessible, this tour allowed us experience this wonderful place safely. We then went on to another village, (I cannot remember the name) lunch is provided. We were served a salad for starters, chicken and chips for main, and cake for dessert, all dishes were good. After this, the final stop was the famous Matala Beach, and there was a festival on whilst we were there .. which was great. Another fantastic beach, a lot busier, with the famous caves running along the beach. We didn’t explore these, but it is possible to do so. Overall an absolutely brilliant trip, organised so professionally with an amazing tour guide. When we go to Crete again we will be sure to book another trip. Again, thank you Mario.

Amazing experience - What a wonderful experience! It was a wonderfully organized trip with beautiful places and swimming spots, great hikes, and fascinating lectures on the region and history we learned from our competent, and friendly leader Alexander with great sense of humor. When you are in crete dont miss the chance to take this trip.

Must do trip Agiofarago tour - Best guide ever met in any adventure! Even better for teenage youth in the group The tour was fantastic visiting the Roman tomb with raki shop, stopping at Agiofarago beach and going for a dip in the freezing water but beautiful beach without any doubts is worth the trip and to our guide gave us the best Safari off road ride, which the teens were talking about hours into finishing the tour. Visited the Matala hippies village. But guys a big big shout out to Alex our guide. Knowledgeable knowing the history and day to day affairs of the Crete, funny, always full of attentions for us…. This page undersells it! - Our second Jafari of our holiday as one wasn't enough. This time we had the great fortune of having Andreas again with us to guide us through, and after some traffic troubles at Heraklion the tour begun as the town gave way to some absolutely beautiful views. It's a tour like this that benefits from a brilliant host, like our daddy cool, who immediately stopped on one of the roads out in order to point out some of the beauty you couldn't find anywhere else, and could miss by yourself. From the face of Zeus onwards the tour takes you through Crete's beautiful scenery and up into the remote parts of Crete that are true, old, Cretan villages, each with their own beautiful aspect that's difficult to see if you stay in your hotel room all trip. Odigitria monastery is beautiful, well-kept, and respectfully kept too. There's no pushy purchase, tour ropes, fixed picture opportunities - just beautiful nature and differential respect for both tourist and local. Even the monks looked happy to see people around, and weren't too bothered by our presence. The shop there is a nice chance to stock up on something truly amazing, and the best Rakomelo I could find on the island - but is only the first part of the tour we stopped at. The tour to the Gorge is filled with information tidbits set to a beautiful landscape that changes more than our last tour, then the gorge itself is a beautiful sight broken by its immense

Best guide ever met in any adventure! - The tour was fantastic visiting the agiofarago beach that without any doubts is worth the fatigue to arrive there. Funny the safari part, as well as the visit to the Roman tomb with raki stop and the Matala hippies village. Very good also the lunch included in the price. But guys a big big shout out to Andreas our guide. Knowledgeable, funny, always full of attentions for us…. He made everything special during the way and back. Unhappy with communication of cancellation - It was cancelled 30 minutes after anticipating the coach pick up at my hotel.. I believe only after me reaching out to the driver. Driver indicated “the gorge was out”. I believe, I was the only passenger therefore the trip was not cost effective. When I asked if another local tour could be made available, I was told sorry, but no.
