Fantastic short fishing trip in the lagoon off Mahebourg - Really great & relaxed short fishing trip with a local fisherman & very friendly English-speaking guide in the lagoon off Mahebourg.
After a short trip we went after the predatory inhabitants of the lagoon, which we pursued with a spinning rod and small rubber fish.
The biggest fish of the day (a decent captain) got caught under a carpet of coral during the fight.
The guide quickly put on his snorkeling gear, jumped into the water and helped immensely so that the fish finally found its way into the boat - simply sensational! :)
It is also very nice about the trip that there is a pick-up and drop-off option at the hotel. This makes things a lot easier & more relaxed.
Overall, the trip is also recommended for non-anglers, as you only stay in the quiet lagoon and are told a lot about things other than fishing.
