Family tour included 2 elderly persons with scooters - Ismael and his team were AMAZING! We did the Chacchoben Mayan Ruins excursion in Costa Maya. We are a family of 6. We had 2 elderly family members with us. From the moment we booked, Ishmael was incredibly responsive and helpful. We brought along two mobility scooters, and they handled everything with professionalism and care. They even collapsed the scooters to fit comfortably in the van. Throughout the tour, Ishmael and his team took exceptional care of us, ensuring that both my elderly mother and aunt felt included and well-cared for. Their attention to detail and genuine kindness made our experience truly memorable. Five stars all around!

Beautiful Chacchoben Mayan Ruins!! - We had a wonderful time exploring the Mayan ruins. The excursion was very informative and with the help of our guide . Rafa was incredible , he was very knowledgeable of the flora and Mayan culture . We had the chance of seeing monkeys hanging around the trees. The trip is like 45 minute drive to the ruins, with a welcome center with souvenirs and snacks for sale. We were two families with small kids and Rafa was very patient answering all the questions . I highly recommend this tour.

Great Excursion - We decided to book through this vendor based on the great reviews. There weren’t a ton which made us nervous but we were so glad we did. It was great and saved us money. We were a family of 5 and there was only one other couple on this excursion. They were kind and very informational right from the start. They greeted us with cold water and explained exactly what we would expect. Because we were a small group, we were able to leave right away and get to the ruins before all the other big tours. During the tour, the guide provided so much great information and answered all our questions. On our way back we stopped at a pineapple stand and got some fresh pineapple. We were dropped off at the port with plenty of time to walk around for a bit and get in the ship with plenty of time.

Mayan Love - At first, I was weary since it was a little difficult to find the Costa Maya Excursions "office"; however, the locals were very kind and helped to lead us to the location. Ishmael was wonderful. He made the experience very memorable and was very knowledgable. Our group had children and he was patient with their questions and gave a hands on experience in showing how the the Mayans made the red mortar. We also stopped at a local stand for fresh pineapple and cakes. We didn't want to head back to the ship, so he recommended a restaurant on the water. The food was delicious. Overall, I would recommend this tour for families or anyone interested in a nice day excursion.

Thanks for this wonderful Costa Maya experience! - We were a large private group (> 30 people) on a cruise and wanted to organize the tour ourselves. The preparation with Costa Maya Experience in advance was excellent: trustworthy, quick and clear answers to our questions. On the day of the excursion everything went well. The meeting point is outside the Costa Maya shopping area, but as the excursion involves a bit of walking anyway, this is not a problem. A wheelchair was also available for older excursion participants. For the quickest way to the meeting point, it's best to follow the directions we were given beforehand. Ismael and his team were great hosts. We were given lots of information about the country and its history. On the way to the pyramids we could eat fresh coconut and pineapple and we also had beverages on the buses. We followed Ismael's recommendation on the departure time so as not to be at the pyramids at the same time as all the other tours. I can absolutely recommend this tour and we all thank Ismael and his team for this wonderful Costa Maya experience.

Elite tour operators - We had Ismael as our main guide and his helped Jaimer (sp?) and they were both fantastic. Before the ruins, we got to see (from the van) parts of a Mayan Village, and Ismael was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. At the ruins, both guides were able to provide a lot of context of the area, which was not just one pyramid structure but an entire town of ruins. They explained how the ones that we see today are reconstructed with their original bases, and how the hills around the area are actually also ruins that have not been reconstructed or "restored". They also knew about the local flora and fauna, and showed us a melipona bee nest and gave us tiny samples of melipona honey! Throughout the trip, they sourced local pineapple, papaya, and coconut water for us! They actually stopped on the side of the road and hacked coconuts open and served us the water in cups. It was a very Costa Rican experience and with 12 people on our group, it was a perfect excursion.

Great tour!! Excellent Price! - The best tour of our cruise! Booked the Chacchoben Ruins and we were lucky to have Ismael and his daughter as our driver/guides. They were full of knowledge and good information as we drove to the ruins. Once at the ruins, admission was included and Ismael took us on a guided tour of the area. On the way back we drove through his villiage, got fresh coconut water and pineapple! It was a great trip and loved every minute of it!
