Guided Tour Museo del Prado - We enjoyed every minute of our visit to the Museo del Prado thanks to Sonia Lopez-Pelaez Rodil. Sonia showed us the museum in a way we could never have experienced it ourselves. She was engaging, informative and lovely all around. I would highly recommend taking a guide with you and if you have the opportunity, go with Sonia.

Personal tour at Prado with the guide Sonia Lopez-Pelaez Rodil - My wife and me had the chance to make a supperb visit of the Prodo museum with the professional guide Mrs Sonia Lopez-Pelaez Rodil. We learned a lot about Spanish painters Tiziano, Velazquez, Murillo and Goya. The time flew by. We can highly recommend a personal tour with M. Lopez-Pelgez Rodil.

Knowledgable, Vibrant, Professional and Friendly - Sonia guided me through the art museum during a pandemic, we had to wear masks. She observed the rules well and ensured that I did the same. She was very knowledgeable about the paintings, their subjects, the painters and the historical context. She was brilliant at summarising the broad sweep of history and the dramatic moments of change and transformation, showing how a particular work fitted the era. She opened my mind to the techniques of perspective and light and the special effects of the masters of painting. She speaks excellent English and overcame the difficulty of masks by speaking very clearly, by using gestures and movement, and by making really strong eye contact - her expressive eyes said as much as most people’s whole faces. Whether describing the bleak despair of Goya’s black paintings, or the joyous sensuality of Rubens’ Three Graces, she took me on an emotional journey as well as an intellectual one. The tour has opened doors for me, and I will continue the journey . . . Highly recommended.
