Ideal for families, hikers or those seeking a quiet day amidst nature, the mountain presides over Lake Lucerne and Lake Zug, strategically nestled in the heart of Switzerland. Access to this picturesque location is easily available from Lucerne via boat, train or personal vehicle to Vitznau or Weggis, and from Zurich using the direct train service or via the A4 highway to Arth-Goldau. The panoramic views from the summit are breathtaking, and the multitude of optional recreational activities ensures a relaxing experience for all.

- Beaware of the closing times of the cable car by visiting rigi.ch prior to your travel. Use Vitznau train line instead (no refund due to this!)

Mount Rigi is worth the trip! - Mount Rigi was beautiful and the train ride up was spectacular! It was a little cloudy that day so our views were somewhat obstructed, but it was still stunning and a wonderful half day trip I would highly recommend.

Best unforgettable experience - Best experience ever. Unforgettable experience for my whole family. We never expected to see too much snow on top of Mt Rigi but we were very lucky to have seen it, felt it and enjoyed it.

Grand Experience for All Travelers, the Mt Rigi Cog Railway and Cruise, Lucerne - Follow in the steps of Queen Victoria (and thousands who followed) and experience the majesty of Mt. Rigi, Lucerne. Travel with ease via the lake cruise and then take the Rigi Klum Ccg Railway up the mountain and have amazing strudel at the hotel's restaurant. Then take the cable car down to Weggis and catch the boat back to Lucerne. Highly recommend going midday to avoid crowds and have the best light. Enjoy!

Awesome views of the Alps - must do from Lucern - Awesome views all around of the Alps. Great hiking options and decent food options. We took the boat from Lake Lucern to the stop for Mt. Rigi, then a short train ride to the summit with beautiful views on the way. Keep a light jacket as it is cool up there!

Gorgeous stuff - Beautiful views and a fun day trip. The hike was gorgeous and fun. There isn't a ton of food available, so be ready for that, but it wasn't really a problem. Switzerland just being its gorgeous self.

Great for hikers - We stayed overnight and boy was it worth it. The hotel we were at was great and friendly. If you’re a hiker, you’ll enjoy this. We took the funicular up, but hiked down to our hotel and hiked to lake Lucerne. Gorgeous Swiss views.
Go at a wrong time though, and all you’ll see is fog. Highly recommend coming to Mt Rigi just for hiking!

Loved it - Great experience would highly recomment this and all the train journeys up the mountain.
We took the boat from Lucerne to Vitznau and then the train to Rigi Kulm and then we went to the top and then hiked for part of the way down and then took the cable car back down. It looks very confusing but I would just go there and start somewhere and then it all makes sense!

Great view during snow time - We had heard a lot about this place so took a chance to visit this place from Zurich - via boat ride and train. The train journey itself provides breathtaking view with green carpet of grass. When we went it was snowing and the whole hill was covered with snow - A nice experience indeed.

Something went wrong? - Although we purchased pass, we already had Swiss Travel Pass so that was the only thing we had to show. Unsure what we were charged for
