Amazing private tour experience - Having a private guide and driver provided for an excellent experience. The guide was extremely informative as we toured the citadel and the king’s tomb, which were made of intricate inlaid glass and porcelain. The history and culture of Vietnam really came to life.

Hue a city of ancient stories rivaling Game of Thrones - The Imperial City was well worth the trip and Dat’s (our guide) stories of emperors, feuds, treachery and tragedy made the history come alive for us. A truly educational and inspiring day.

Amazing places with a very knowledgeable guide - I always wanted to see both ancient and modern Vietnam. I had just one weekend in Da Nang so I was very happy to find a private tour to see Hue, Vietnam’s ancient capital, on Saturday, and the Golden Bridge at Ba Na Hills on Sunday. It was raining when we arrived at Hue. When it sopped and we walked around the Citadel, everything looked so mysterious like you stepped back in time. My guide Hung had a very good knowledge of Vietnamese history and had a great sense of humour. He made my trip very enjoyable.

Amazing tour guide! - Eric was an amazing tour guide!!! He was very informative and was able to personalize so much of the tour. He was funny and kind and it was really nice having him as the tour guide for the day. This was my first private tour anywhere and it’s definitely worth the money! I am very happy with it and would do it again!!

A fantastic day tour to Hue - As it was a private tour and I was by myself, my tour guide Nguyen (Eric) and driver wanted to adjust to what I was interested in and made sure I had a great day. The vehicle was luxurious and cool water was provided throughout. Even an umbrella against the bright sun was offered! We made many different stops on our way as well as in Hue and had sufficient time (I never felt rushed) to take everything in. My guide was extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable about every site we stopped at. The locations were well-chosen and I was in awe of all of them. I would highly recommend this tour!

Well planned tour with a proficient guide - My family and I made a private tour to Hue, arranged by Happy Holiday tour,in Tet new year holiday .Thao, our tour guide, is a highly professional and also proficient in English. She led our tour with good touches on Vietnamese history and culture. Arrangement of tour is punctual, but flexible depending on our needs. The tour deserved five stars for overall service.

Step back in history - We had Huong (from Hoi An) as our knowledgable guide. Everything went off smoothly, even the weather cooperated. We ran out of time for the pagoda as we were all engrossed with the old imperial city. Being old enough to remember the news of the Vietnam war (Tet offensive etc) made for a memorable visit. They were very accommodating to our requests and we were not under pressure to do/see/buy anything, which sometimes you encounter with cheaper cost tours. If you can afford it and want to be informed and well looked after, we recommend this day tour. Yes, it'll take up a full day.

Can be better - Weather wasn't the best - rainy & cold. Guide said she wasn't informed of the detailed itinerary which we signed up for, so we skipped seeing Hai Van pass, Hai Van Quan & Lang Vo Bay on the way to Hue, partly due to the weather too. Instead she brought us to the pearl factory which wasn't really meaningful to us as the staff doing the explanation wasn't proficient in English. It was more for retail we assume. Luckily we reminded her that there is also dragon boat cruise included so she booked it for us. Improvement for the guide - wished there was more sharing about the place of Hue in general, the people etc, not just on the sites we visited. Many times there was just silence as we walked, at times I had to ask where were we heading to. She took nice photos for us though. The vehicle provided was a little small for us too, though there were only 3 of us. My husband who is not very tall sat at the back uncomfortably throughout the whole journey. But the driver was helpful though. On the whole, surely room for improvement.

Last minute booking.... - Last minute booking. Guide had poor language skills. Paid premium £200+ for the trip for two. Poor knowledge of history and would not recommend.
