Bespoke tour that offers authentic, delicious Portuguese food and a fascinating historical overview of Lisbon - The Picta Travel food tour is unparalleled. It's a bespoke experience that includes fascinating historical facts about Lisbon as you eat your way through the city at spots that offer delicious, authentic Portuguese food. Thomas, our guide, was friendly, warm and his love and knowledge of Lisbon was infectious. I would highly recommend this tour if you are looking to eat extremely well, have a blast and learn a little bit about Lisbon, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.

Must do! Such a fabulous experience! - What a fabulous way to start our vacation in Lisbon! Our guide, Thomas, met us at a quaint cafe to kick off our day. We got to know each other quickly, breaking the ice with, “Where are you from? What do you do? Do you have any food allergies?” That sort of thing. From there the walk began. Thomas told us about the people, the places, the foods, the drinks, and the history of Lisbon. We went to a variety of restaurants for food and drink from fancy to street foods. Everything we had was delicious. Similar to a progressive dinner, it was like a six course walking tour. Thomas knew we had our mother with us and planned the trip with her comfort and safety in mind. Thomas sprinkled in suggestions for what else we needed to see and do while in Lisbon. By the time the tour ended, we felt like we had been visiting with a dear friend.

Perfect Timing - Our group of 6 had an early arrival and wanted to explore the area and food/drink. Thomas took our group all around and shared local information and history. The clams, tin fish and ginja were so delicious!

Good food and great company! - This tour provided us a nice opportunity to eat small portions at a number of great places that we would not have seen or heard about otherwise. Food was good, conversation with our guide, Tom, was great, and the walks between locations allowed for some nice sites.

From Street to Gourmet - I’ve been on many food tours in European cities that I thought were good,, however none compare to Thomas’s! To go on a walk through the city with a native who is also a foodie - nothing better. Thomas gave us a guided walking tour while going from stop to stop - so much so that we didn’t need to book a tour of the city! The food at each stop was outstanding and we had the added bonus of Thomas sharing recipes with us. He also was mindful of the steep terrain and formatted his tour so the 90% was a downhill walk - that was much appreciated. I highly recommend this tour to all who go to Lisbon - its simply the best!
