Additional Information

Cyprus is known for its significant ancient Greek and Roman locations. During this journey, you’ll encounter Aphrodite’s Rock, the antique city of Paphos, and the Tombs of the Kings, and also visit Kourion, with the addition of some leisure time in the town of Paphos.
There will be a brief halt for a coffee break on the road prior to a stop at Kourion archaeological site. Here, you will witness landmarks like the theatre – built during the 2nd century BC – and the Agora. As we proceed towards Paphos, we’ll stop for a photograph at Petra tou Romiou, also known as Aphrodite’s Rock, the place where, according to legend, the ancient Greek goddess of love and beauty emerged from the ocean froth.
Subsequently, we’ll move towards ancient Paphos for a supervised tour of the Tombs of the Kings, the House of Dionysos, and its beautifully preserved mosaics. Eventually, you’ll have some leisure time in the town of Paphos. This could be a chance for a walk down to the picturesque harbor or grab a meal at one of the numerous terrace cafes.

This was a great tour. The guide was... -
This was a great tour. The guide was really good, very informative. However, much of the time was spent travelling from Paphos to Limassol and then Limassol to Nicosia. We only had a couple of hours spent in Nicosia, which, for me wasn't enough. It is a very nice city to explore.

The location itself is worth it, but... -
The location itself is worth it, but the tour experience was just okay. I think this tour could be better if it didn't have 50 tourists with 1 guide to lead us all. Our guide did a good job given the ratio, but it was at times painfully slow waiting for everyone, and it was awkward trying to crowd around and listen to the historical facts she shared.

And a few other things to note...There were at least 8 pick up spots where additional guests loaded the bus on the way to Nicosia and on the way back. The first stop had coffee that I had to choke down, but there were a few cute donkeys on site. They emailed me to confirm my pick up time at my hotel. Morning of the tour I became concerned when no one came. Luckily the hotel concierge was able to look up their phone number couldn't find it listed in the email or voucher and contact them. Concierge spoke with someone who told me to go across the street to the tour agency building. When I entered that building the one staff member said she isn't the one who handles calls and that it was not her who said to meet here aka not my problem. Eventually I found the guide and bus, but was greeted with a reprimand for not being in the right pick up location, but at least they didn't leave without me. I think because this agency handles such large tour groups the communication is limited and the experience is like that of cattle herds. Realistically, there are few tours to select from, and given the experience of the sites, I would still say go for it unless you rent a car.
