Short, sweet and high on adrenalin - Short, sweet and high on adrenalin. I enjoyed it a lot, but it is not for the faint of heart. It would have been even better if they allowed a few minutes of a relaxed floating in the water at the end.

Whole Family Approved! - This was certainly a highlight of our trip and the whole family agrees. Both adults and our 2 teens loved every second and only had wished it lasted a bit longer. From smiles to fun screams to the top notch customer service, we definitely recommend this for anyone visiting. It's not for the faint of heart but certainly the average person can enjoy this activity.

Canyoning and Tubing: Water fun in the Volcano region! - At the risk of exposing our "little secret" Guachipelin's adventure center is a blast. The guides are professional and keep you safe and often refer to groups as "familia" . The photographers are there too, to catch your every move so you can focus on having fun and really experiencing it, instead of trying to smuggle your phone on the tube or the belay line (it won't work, don't bother). The Canyoning adventure is really something...rappelling off of a wooden bridge and dropping into the waterfall pool, then climbing back up the rungs under the waterfall to do it again...then to another rappel and then finally to the Tarzan swing...if you ever wondered what it was like to go flying through a waterfall, well, this is for you! So much fun! The only way it could be better would be to have tubes ready at the end so you could jump directly into the river and float the rapids...The tubing trip can be done as a combo day adventure or on its own and it is also a lot of fun. Even in the dry season, the river is cool and hopping and the rapids are fun. I highly recommend either trip!

Overpriced, underwhelming and dangerous - Overpriced. A lot of money for not very much. You are told (only if you ask! I found out from a fellow person on the activity) you are doing three rappels, a segment of rock climbing and a Tarzan swing. It is advertised as two and half hours long. Firstly it is two rappels, one which you do twice if you decide to do the climbing section. Secondly the Tarzan swing in and out of the waterfall is just plain dangerous. You get launch under a pretty powerful waterfall and then pulled back in again and again. It's a recipe for disaster, because if you enter it the wrong way you are bound to get whiplash. One person on our swallowed a whole lot of water and struggles to breathe. Finally the tour is definitely not two and a half hours. I waited at reception for about 30mins before getting on the bus there, you had a short briefing and probably officially started the activity at around 9. Then we were done within the hour. 52USD is a total rip off as far as I am concerned. This should be advertised as an introduction to canyoning, with more accurate times and description of exactly what you are doing. The activity is worth 30-35USD max! I'm left quite disappointed as I was told this was one of the best places to do canyoning. Opt for the zipline, canopy tour instead as it is better value for money. You might have to over look one of the obnoxious guides though. Also the photos they take of you aren't really the best. Save your money here!
