Otranto, one of the most lovely coastal villages in Salento.
Every corner highlight the different civilizations who lived here like Romans, Byzantines, Ottomans and Aragoneses. You’ll have free time for visiting the amazing Cathedral, the Saint Peter Church in Byzantine style, the Castle and the gorgeous Walls that surround the whole ancient city.

Cava di Bauxite - Transfer from Otranto to Bauxite Lake 10 min -

A small lake grew into an abandoned bauxite quarry characterised by an impressive red color of the ground surrounded by Mediterranean scrublands.
It has become a true must-see in the last years for all tourists. You’ll enjoy the whole area with amazing viewpoints.

Punta Palascia Lighthouse - Transfer from Bauxite Lake to Palascia Lighthouse 10 min -

Tall white cylindrical lighthouse located on the easternmost point of Italy. Walking along the path it’s possible admiring the wonderful view of the Adriatic Sea.

Torre Sant’Andrea - Transfer from Palascia Lighthouse to Torre Sant’Andrea 30 min -

This is one gorgeous sight. The water is the clearest you can find out in Puglia and the backdrop is outstanding.
You could also swim here, so carry your swim gear.

Torre dell’Orso Beach - Transfer from Torre Sant’Andrea to Torre dell’Orso Beach 10 min -

You’ll visit a great long beach with very nice soft sand.

Best day south of Lecce - Take this tour if you want to enjoy coastal Puglia south of Lecce in comfort and in good company. You will not regret it. Bob is a native of Lecce and as such knows all the inns and outs of what to see and how to do it efficiently. He takes you to the best spots in both Otranto and several places along the coast and tells you what to see and then leaves you alone to explore. This is perfect for those who want to explore the sights independently but with guidance without someone hovering over you all the time. He will answer all of your questions while driving and is a good conversationalist but is not obtrusive. He is a very conservative driver and we felt safe all day.

A great guide - This day trip was perfectly planned and executed by the guide, Bob. He took us to Otranto and seacoast spots exactly as advertised. The sites were ell chosen and extremely interesting. Bob was a very careful driver an we felt safe. He spoke English well and communicated flawlessly. The best feature of this trip was his local knowledge

A truly special local guide - For the second time in Salento we opted for an excursion on the east coast and I must say that the tour with Roberto was satisfactory from all points of view, the choice of places, flexibility in the stops but above all the very cordial and friendly environment to introduced himself immediately. We wanted to do a wine tasting at a wine cellar and our request could only appeal to our host's considerable knowledge of the area who satisfied us on this too. A thousand thanks.

Otranto and its coast - I was looking for how to visit this wonderful part of Puglia, fascinated by some photos seen in travel books. However, since public transport in these areas, perhaps given the period, is almost completely non-existent, I was almost giving up when I discovered this tour organized by Mr. Roberto. What to say? a spectacular tour that did not disappoint my expectations, for the beauty and particularity of these places, as well as for the friendliness, availability and friendliness of Mr. Roberto. From Lecce he took us to the easternmost point of Italy, the beautiful Otranto, where we stopped for 3 hours, visiting the cathedral with its splendid mosaic floor depicting the tree of life, St. Peter's Basilica, the Aragonese castle, the Torre Matta and the splendid seafront with its crystal clear water. From there we left for the coast, stopping: -to the bauxite quarry lake with its riot of bright and intense colours, from the emerald green of the water to the red of the bauxite - to the lighthouse of Punta Palascia from where, despite the day being a bit cloudy, we were able to admire the Albanian coast, only 70 km away. - in Torre Sant'Andrea and Torre dell'Orso, the Caribbean of Salento, unique locations, true wonders of nature with their "stacks". The tour ended at the Poetry Cave, another corner of paradise surrounded by lunar-like terrain. In summary, truly recommended tour! Vote 10.

Best decision we made for our 1-week vacation - Roberto was the highlight of our Salento vacation. We stayed in 3 towns/cities during our week-long stay. We relied on him to drive us from one to the other but not just as a taxi would, but we asked him to make a full day tour of it one day and a half day tour of it for the second transfer. We saw and enjoyed beaches and sites we would not have been able to without a car. It was like having a family member who lived in the area driving you around and taking you to his favorite sites. And...his prices were very reasonable. I can't recommend Roberto and his transfer and tour service enough!

Great places and exceptional host - Great places to visit with even better host. Bob took us and drove is around Otranto and other beautiful places in the region that we couldn't see otherwise. Was a great company and informative on the local traditional cuisine and living. On each place we had it enjoyed at our own pace. It's not only the trip but the host as well and with Bob you are in good hands!

Relaxed day out - We had a stay in Lecce and wanted to visit Otranto, with no car and trains & buses difficult, this became an option. Roberto (Bob) communicated throughout and is very authentic in his approach, there is no rush or urgency and he is happy to remain flexible. We could not have experienced seeing the locations ourselves and enjoyed the discussions and general conversations throughout the day. For a relaxed day out with no pressure this would be a great alternative.

All the Highlights and Great Company - This was the perfect day tour for us. We were staying in Lecce but didn’t want the stress of driving to see the surrounding area. Bob (Roberto) and the lovely Sandra took us first to beautiful Otranto. They gave great recommendations for eating and sightseeing and left us to enjoy it. The cathedral, the castle and the charming Byzantine church were all highlights. We met up with our hosts who then drove us to the many beauty spots along the coast. Everything was easy. Roberto is modest about his English but it was much better than our Italian. He was very informative about the places we visited. We chatted in the car and then were left to enjoy the sights at our own pace. It was a wonderful day and excellent value. We highly recommend you do this tour.

Great day in the Salento - The best thing about this tour is it was just Us, we never did a private tour before and man was it worth it. Bob and his wife picked us up and dropped us off and besides seeing most of the important sights in the area time was on our side! We stayed at some places like Otranto longer . That was no problem, it was our day. Great people, great day and a great tour!
