Araca Beach (Freguesia de Fora) - Simple and quiet beach, is surrounded by large rocks and preserved native forest. It’s small and cozy, great for those looking for a good place to rest. With a good strip of golden sand, it has calm and transparent waters.
Freguesia de Santana Beach - It is a very beautiful and pleasant beach as it has many palm trees and crystal clear waters, from its port side has access to the Parish Church of Santana
This church is one of the most important religious historical monument of Ilha Grande. Built in 1843 in place of an ancient chapel from the time of discovery.
The Parish was an important industrial and agricultural center of the seventeenth century with large fields of sugar cane, coffee, vegetables and cereals as well as sugar mills and burning water.
In front of it we see an imperial palm from the time of the empire of Brazil and next to and behind a graveyard with tombstones dating from two centuries ago.
A little further north we have the very small beach called Funil beach and there are many lovers there. No more than two boats fit and the waters are very calm and transparent.
Praia de Japariz - Lunch is held on Japariz Island, in a rustic beachside restaurant with a very tasty food.

Enjoy a 15-minute lunch stop on the boat trip and discover the interesting nearby Funil beach.

Would do it again - Keniston was an awesome guide for us, happy to have found him. During the whole day he had great energy and fun to be around. Very helpful when we needed him and spoke English well. They were able to pick us up from the hotel room, which was a very big help since we had five people and UBER in Rio only have enough room for four. Even though it was cloudy that day, it did not rain and ended up being one of our best tours. Their boat was pretty big with plenty of drinks on board. The buffet at the end of the day was really good, loved the chicken. It was a very relaxed tour and would definitively recommend doing this to get the feel of this beautiful island. Next time, would definitely have to take a few more days just to stay on the island. Very well spent 14 hours of my day, would also recommend checking out the weather before going, even though it seems like it changes from day to day here! Thank you much Keniston, Matt

Pretty Good - It was a great experience. Everything went well and as described. The only thing that almost drove me up the wall was the amount of hours. This tour was at least 14/15 hours.. and you can’t prepare yourself it.. 2 hours to pickup other people, about 2.5 hours drive down to the dock. Then you’re on the water for about 5 hours... another 4 hours back up to the hotel. I suggest they use smaller vans to pickup from various hotels then drop them to the big bus.. which would alleviate 2 hours of just pickup. Otherwise wise, the tour was awesome. The food was tasty, restrooms were clean, and the crew members were polite.

Long but mostly positive trip. - The trip was fun. I recommend you take your own fins and goggles. Long trip but expected. Food was good: fish chicken salad options. Tour provider provided specific time for pickup at Arena Leme the night before. Communication emails prior to trip was not the best. English guide spoke poor English.

Angra during covid - The transportation was excessive, took way too long to get there, might be better if it was all boat, because riding in a bus over 3 hours each way killed my mood. The food was excellent though. Also, to future customers, please pick a day that is not cloudy, it didn't look too good when we were sailing. In addition, the host Diani was a pleasant part of the trip. She has an excellent work ethic, and does a great job.

Nice Crew and Staff - Should be called a bus tour rather than boat trip since it takes about 3 hours each way on a bus just to go to the boat. There should be a boat to catch at Copacabana and we should sail there making it a complete boat trip.

Come back home!! - This was the worst excursions we did in Rio! It was forecasted to rain all day and when I contacted the agency I did not get a response back. We showed up anyways to the point of pick up hoping they would send someone to cancel but that was not the case. We got on the bus at 7:20am without knowing the bus would circle many times over in the same area until it picked up all 40people for the excursion. Right off the bat they were off to a bad start. We were not informed that with all the driving around and pick up and the distance from Copacabana to Angra dos Reis was a total of almost 5 hours. We arrived at 12pm noon. When we arrived it was pouring rain they stuffed us like sardines onto a rainy boat and sailed off. People wanted to sit, but there were not enough dry parts on the boat. The whole day went by all the same with tons of rain and perhaps about 10 people jumping into the water. They do provide lunch but it’s more like a early dinner around 4pm. Mean while you are starving and you are forced to buy your own food and drinks on the boat. We finally docked around 6pm only to wait for another hour for our bus driver to come back from the “garage.” Over all this trip would of been worth all the negative aspects if it hadn’t been pouring rain. I felt they didn’t want to cancel due to refunding all the money. But I don’t see people giving this tour good ratings due to an outdoor excursion that was ruined by the rain.
