Additional Information
The Marais Poitevin has been explored via a boat steered by a boatman with a pigouille since 1973. Maintaining its conventional allure, I established our enterprise in 2017 to introduce a novel way to experience the Marais Poitevin - through cycling. As of 2023, I am still the sole cycle guide providing these unique, accessible adventures off the usual paths. During these excursions, we halt at multiple points to learn about the evolution of the second largest marshland in France, its wildlife, plant life, and cultural heritage.

Poitevin marsh visit - Damien our guide was wonderful. We visited the Poitevin marshes by bike and boat for 2 days. Damien accompanied us with dynamism and showed us historically and geographically this beautiful region. We were very hot but we all loved these 2 days of visit!
