The CGN landing stage is a 5-minute walk from the M2 "Ouchy Olympique" metro station. Cross the street when exiting the metro station and continue straight until you reach the lake. Then turn left and walk along the quay to our ticket office.

Leisurely day out - We took a day trip from Lausanne to Evian and back. It was free with our Swiss Travel pass. There are multiple sailings per day. We left at 11 am, had a wander round the town, a delicious lunch and a ride in the funiculaire and were in plenty of time to catch the 2:45 return sailing. A very laidback trip on a nice day.

Easy, pleasant way to cross the lake - We were staying in Evian and wanted to reach the UNESCO/vineyard sites across the lake--very worthwhile!. This ferry was an easy and pleasant way to get across. Yes, swiss pricing but very pretty journey. Bring your jacket as it can get cold on the lake! Ticket office was very helpful too. We ended up taking the boat to Cully instead of the train...was a very pretty way to get there. Highly recommend!

No food or drink?!?! We are in Switzerland where...!?! - Very friendly, welcoming staff etc. On the other hand, the fact that the company only focuses on money is felt enormously, many passengers have a price that borders on prestige ones and that there are no catering or drinks on board is totally deplorable. Fortunately the team on board had nothing to do with it and they were friendly. Bad management :(

A contrasting experience - The morning boat was perfectly adapted for people with reduced mobility (dedicated location). The staff were welcoming and caring. The crossing was therefore very pleasant. In the evening it was unfortunately rush hour with many people returning from work and the boat did not have a dedicated berth. The staff was overwhelmed and did not know or could not care about the comfort of two people with reduced mobility stuck among the crowd. This should no longer exist in the 21st century.

Disappointment and lack of seriousness - Despite 1st class tickets, there is no control except when the controller passes by. Area completely occupied by 2nd class tickets. Morality pay less and enjoy the 1 and without worries. In addition, twice we reserved a table for 2 and each time we had our place stolen. Morality don't reserve anything and sit down, you will have priority. Regrettable and unnecessary to pay more for calm and comfort. In this regard, first class is more than modest regarding seats. Disappointing

Boat the Lausanne!!!! Scam - Le Lausanne boat to avoid. No comfort no outside seat No difference between 1st and 2nd class. The CGN reserves the right to change the boat at the last moment without possibility of reimbursement!
