This scenic 4WD Tour encompasses a large block of mountainous country, containing high inherent landscape values of The Mackenzie Country. Travel through pristine rivers and Merino Sheep. Beautiful scenery - A perfect way to see Lake Tekapo and surroundings from a different perspective. We were taken on a drive throught the merino sheep farms, river valley, we got to see beautiful views of entire Lake Tekapo. We also learned about the birds, the inhabitants of the valley. It was a very enjoyable afternoon.

Great day out - Great offroad drive up one of the valleys. Some information about the region and its people/culture. And lovely talks about anything and everything for the rest of the way. Very kid friendly!

Spectacular - Our driver /tour guide was amazing, told us all the history about the station we were on and surrounding mountains. The other 2 couple we went with were wonderful we all yarned the whole trip. Definitely would do it again as the landscape is absolutely stunning

Fantastic experience and excellent value - This adventure was fantastic! Well worth the fee. Incredible scenery, interesting info about the country and birds, access to areas you'd never see on your own. Owner Ben was informative and skilled, obviously experienced and well informed. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning!

Great way to see amazing scenery - We did a private tour which included Lake Alexandrina, a variety of stations, the Cass valley and river and plenty more.
It had snowed overnight so we delayed our departure in order to let the weather clear.
We were treated to the most amazing winter wonderland type landscapes, with snow at ground level throughout. We were plenty warm enough though, and stopped a couple of times to throw snowballs and have a drink and some chocolate. We saw pheasants, a black swan, merino sheep, angus cattle, deer and lots of rabbits.
Chris had great local knowledge and clearly loves showing off the area. Would recommend to anyone and would like to redo at a different time of the year too, to get a different perspective on the landscape.

Cass Valley - What a beauty. - We did Cass Valley tour and it took 4 hours. The tour was meant to be 3 hours but the driver/guide was kind enough to show us more. This is one of the must tour to be taken when in Tekapo.

4WD - no Land Rover - We enjoyed our guide - extremely personable - HOWEVER don’t plan on the advised Land Rovers. We were told both were in the shop and we were uncomfortably put in the back of a Toyota-not a pleasurable ride. Didn’t want to hold it against our guide, but sent a message to the operator who basically reply “sorry, too bad”. Also - it was advertised with “Glacier” - not one - again operator said “clouds”.
