Exceptional experience for a solo traveller - This was an exceptional experience I had as a solo traveller. Daniela warmly welcomed me into her home and I learned that the cooking experience would be private. Whether it is for one person, or several, as the previous reviews indicate, Daniela and her husband are wonderful hosts. The overall experience of time spent with Daniela, and learning how to make sgabei, gnocchi with fresh pesto (picking basil from her garden), and whipping up a delicious tiramisu in a matter of minutes, was the highlight of my trip. I cannot recommend this experience enough. The food, using simple and local ingredients, is incredibly delicious. The conversation was wonderful, even as I tried speaking with my broken Italian. Using the preferred WhatsApp, Daniela shared her recipes in English so that I could replicate these at home. At the end of the session, Daniela and Gianni ensured that I was safely on my way to my next destination. A true taste of local Italian Culture and Kindness - This experience was one of a kind. I was looking for something to do to truly capture the culture and essence of Italy while I was visiting on my first ever Europe trip and I came across Daniela's page on Cesarine. Daniela, her husband, and then entire experience, completely surpassed my expectations and I will truly carry the memories forever! Daniela has a passion for cooking and for hosting others and her kindness, radiance, and authenticity was truly a gift. Her cooking and the dishes we made were incredible and the conversations, laughter, and joy that was shared was so pure! Her and her husband shared some of their favorite stories, places to visit in the area, and even their favorite local liquor and desert chocolates! After our session Daniela insisted that we travel to see Porto Venere as it was one of her and her husbands favorite spots - so she drove us to get a bus ticket (which she paid for since we did not have cash) and then to the bus stop where she waited in the rain with us till we boarded the bus. That is true kindness and Stefan and I will forever be grateful that we go to experience that spot in Italy - it was magical. All in all, I cannot speak highly enough about this experience and I will recommend this to anyone and everyone who visits the costal region of Italy! Stefan and I can't wait to make these dishes together again on our date nights and we certainly look forward to seeing Daniela and her husband again when we go back to Italy!

Great host in every sense of the word - Daniela and her husband were gracious and informative hosts. It is obvious that they both enjoy welcoming guests and sharing their culture. Daniela's instructions were clear and easy to follow. As much as we enjoyed cooking and eating together, we really enjoyed the conversation. We left with our stomachs and souls full. We will use the recipes frequently when back home.

Delightful and yummy experience! - The cooking class with Daniela was a delight! She is an amazing cook and great host and taught us yummy italian recipes. She was patient and funny and gave us a lot of interesting information about the food. The afternoon felt like being part of the family. A real pleasure! :-)

Highly recommend!! - Daniela was the most gracious person we have ever met. Her and her husband welcomed my husband and I into their home for our class. And not only did she show us how to make the dishes listed in the class description but she showed us more. When we need to make it back to our cruise ship that day she was more than helpful helping us get back in time. Cooking with Daniela was the best part of our trip to Italy!

Fun evening! - Daniela and her husband Gionni were wonderful hosts! Our family of four had fun learning several traditional recipes and sharing stories. Daniela even showed us how to make some additional recipes in response to our questions about other Italian meals! There was so much food, we brought home leftovers - and Daniela graciously drove us to the train station at the end of our evening. We had a great time and would recommend this experience!

Lovely Experience! - We had the most amazing time cooking with Paola! Although we had a few dietary restrictions, she was able to craft an entire vegan menu just for us - so she truly went above and beyond! We had tagliatelle, gnocchi, focaccia bread, fried pumpkin flowers, pancakes (chestnut and apple) and some wine! After making dinner we sat down with her family to a lovely meal overlooking the beautiful city and water in La Spezia. She and her family were so welcoming and kind to us during our visit! We loved the delicious food and the great company. We highly recommend this class for anyone hoping to get a one-of-a-kind experience in Italy with the best family !!

A dream of a cooking class - We visited Luca's lovely home in Riomaggiore, met his sweet dog, chatted all the way through our cooking lesson, and had the most amazing experience. We made gnocchi - took us a minute to get the fork technique! - and then twirled trofie between our palms. The tiramisu was terrific, too, and Luca answered all our questions patiently and gave great tips. We had such a terrific time and would recommend his classes to anyone visiting with an interest in authentic Italian food and fun.
