The ONLY way to visit Georgia, unforgettable experience. - We spent two days with Omar from Visit-Geo, and what a fantastic two days it was. Firstly, we just want to saw how friendly, kind and funny Omar is. He’s a genuinely great person, with a seemingly bottomless pit of knowledge on Georgia. Our first day was the Day trip to Kazbegi, which featured Zhinvali reservoir, Ananuri Fortress, Gudauri Ski Resort, several view points/ monuments and finally Gergeti Trinity Church. This beautiful country was a pleasure to drive though, with Omar offering amazing insights & details to everything we passed and questioned him about, and we had the most entertaining ascension to Gergeti as well! Our second day was a tour to the Kakheti wine region. We visited two wineries, one of the larger brands, and one very small vineyard that showcased utterly incredible wine, Bodbe monastery & Sighnaghi. We bought bottles from both, but hands down, the Vellino vineyard stop off was the highlight of the day. With a country steeped in so much history, we learned so much from Omar, whose wealth of knowledge is utterly mind boggling, there’s not a detail missed on these tours. From driving round Tbilisi to recommending a spot for lunch in Kazbegi, by the Russian Border, Omar never left us short. You may notice once you’re in Tbilisi that Visit-Geo’s tours are slightly more expensive than the ones offered around town, we can vouch that these tours are worth every single penny. As we are English speakers, there’s obviously a language barrier, but that was nonexistent with this incredibly personal and fun tour. Visit-Geo may be relatively new, but you would think they’ve been operating for years. Amazing guides and flawless execution. It was truly a pleasure being with Omar for two days, and we hope to meet again soon! Thank you so much! Luke & Aisha
