Wayamba, a province in Sri Lanka, is a hidden gem for tourists. It holds historical importance from the 12th and 14th centuries. Wayamba stands apart with its unique historical and natural landscapes, with coconut paddy cultivation defining the province. Its main city, Kurunegala, was an ancient royal capital. The town is characterized by coconut plantations and is encircled by eight massive rock formations. Tourists can visit the ‘Elephant Rock’ or Ethagala, which gave Kurunegala its name.
