Kuiburi National Park serves as the exclusive home in Thailand to over 320 sheltered wild elephants, with an unparalleled 99% chance of encountering them in this unspoiled habitat. Aside from Asian elephants and gaurs, a multitude of other mammals reside here, including golden jackals, several types of deer, langurs, white-handed gibbons, Burmese hares, Malay porcupines, and wild boars. Kui Buri is home to a robust bird population, currently boasting over 260 species. These include crested falcons, grey peacock pheasants, ferrous partridges, Tickell’s brown hornbills, white-crowned hornbills, brown fish owls, yellow-ventilated green pigeons, white-fronted dwarf-eared owls, mustache hawks, red-necked hornbills, blue-collared parrots, chestnut-nickel fork tails, red-bearded bee-eaters, maroon woodpeckers, alongside birds like the Crested Fireback, Indian Roller, and Asian Openbill bird, not to mention gaurs and leopards.
