Next, board the bus destined for Wieliczka, a quaint town close to Krakow, houses one of the grandest antiquated salt mines in Europe, dating back 700 years. The mine plunges to 340 meters deep, with its tunnels and pathways spanning over 245 kilometers.
The visitor’s path stretches beyond 3 km, comprising more than 20 chambers, subterranean bodies of water, myriad passages, and structures, including the unique and grand St. Kinga Church - the miners’ guardian saint. This below-ground sanctuary is lavishly adorned with light fixtures, sculptures, and effigies of saints, all carved from salt. The mine offers a unique therapeutic environment, and there’s even a health resort situated 135 m deep.

  • Please note that part of the tour is walking and operated by a live guide. The rest of the tour includes the care of the driver (cruise, transfer), without a guide

Wonderful family trip! - Everything was well-coordinated from our boat ride to our trip to the salt mines. Our driver, Sylvester, was very friendly and told us great stories about Krakow on the way. The salt mine tour was also fantastic (tour guide was Nick) and the mines were impressive and awesome.
