Amazing experience definitely worth the money! - We had a lovely visit. Changing rooms were very clean and felt well provided for. Plenty of fresh towels. The lagoon was spotlessly clean. We took part in the ritual which was super relaxing. All staff were friendly and approachable. The bar was well stocked for drinks. The scenery and atmosphere was super relaxing and an amazing experience in general. Would definitely recommend!

The better of the two! - I visited the other, more famous lagoon on my trip in 2020. We were also booked to go there for my most recent trip, in April 2024. However, a volcanic eruption had other plans for us. So, we booked a trip to sky Lagoon instead. I am so glad we did! This newer facility is, in my opinion, much better than the other, more well-known experience. The dressing rooms are much nicer, and while the sky Lagoon is smaller, the view is incredible! The seven step process which starts in the lagoon, goes to a cold water dip, then the sauna, a cold mist shower, a mineral rub, a steam room, and then finally a shower, is absolutely exhilarating! I will definitely recommend this experience to anyone I know who visits Iceland!

Sky Lagoon/ 7 step ritual - Wonderful lagoon! Warm waters, cool places to explore and relax in the lagoon (waterfall, places to sit, swim up bar, and the 7-step ritual). Locker rooms are clean and have everything you need to get ready including hair dryers! Cafe has nice snacks and the smakk bar has charcuterie boards with a variety of foods on them. Plan to spend a while here, it is definitely a great place to hang out and relax! Staff is friendly and helpful!

Extremely relaxing! Highly recommended! - Everyone recommended going to one of the hot spring spas while in Iceland. They are very popular and so they're often booked. You should secure your time slot as soon as you know when you're going. I purchased my ticket through tripadvisor and went with the pure pass. I was greeted by very friendly staff. They asked if it was my first time there and explained the process. I received a wrist band for the locker/purchases and a wrist band for the 7-step ritual. The locker room is extremely clean and lockers are easy to use. You must shower before entering the lagoon. The air is extremely cold but you step in the water and immediately warm up. I spent some time moving around the lagoon and standing under the waterfall which felt great! The 7-step ritual was a really nice experience. I wont spoil the steps for you but you leave there feeling extremely refreshed. I would definitely return to Sky lagoon if I make it back to Iceland. I went from there directly to the airport and it was a great way to end the trip.

Wonderful - An all around wonderful experience. Loved the 7 step ritual. Could have stayed in the lagoon all day. Facilities were clean, staff was helpful and friendly. Watching the sun set was the icing on the cake. Thank you for a relaxing end to our trip.

Skin felt amazing after ritual. - We had pre booked the sky package for 2 so entry was very efficient. Someone was waiting to direct us to the changing rooms and explain the process. Lagoon is beautiful. It was ~ 5pm - it did not feel crowded and there are different areas for everyone to hang out. View across the ocean to the mountains is stunning. The ritual is a great experience. Skin felt amazing afterwards. When we exited we went to the Smakk bar for a drink and charcuterie board. In total we were there ~ 3hrs. The only downside is the area for the ritual after the sauna is quite small that with a lot of people at one time it can feel like an assembly line. We would go back if ever in Iceland again.

Beautiful place, but there is a ‘but’ - We liked the lagoon itself and the experience. The place is breathtaking and has a great view of the sea and the mountains. The waters are warm and relaxing. We took the 7 step ritual, the most complete experience. In general, it’s nice - the sauna has an incredible view and the scrub and steam part was amazing - our skin was incredibly soft after that. Nonetheless, it seemed a little incomplete for such “premium” experience and we were expecting more. On the other hand, it was partially ruined by groups of people that were super noisy and annoying in the sauna and steam room. Despite several people complaining about them in different moments, more than an ugly look wasn’t given to them. It’s awful because you can only do that part once, as it is part of “The Ritual”, included in this 7-step package. For the price paid, we were expecting more -at least a courtesy drink. The facilities were OK but on arrival, the dressing area was wet, and given that they make you remove your shoes before entering there, our socks got all soaked. Very unpleasant. They also made us share a dressing room that is clearly meant for one person. In the end, it was a nice experience but -for us due to the things mentioned above- not that relaxing at some moments, and there is a lot of room for improvement.

A few improvements would make Sky lagoon even better - We booked the Sky Lagoon via our travel agent due to the Blue Lagoon being closed and we had a 6pm evening slot. Unfortunately as we’d booked transport and tickets through a third party, when we got to the check in area, we were told we had only paid for 2 adults despite my booking saying 2 adults and 1 child. The team at Blue Lagoon did their best to help, but they’re having to bill this back to via someone somewhere and I’m not sure how much that is or when it will come through. This led to a few minutes being shaved off my two and a half hour visit trying to get sorted, which wasn’t the relaxing start I’d hoped for. The changing facilities and locker area were perfect. Completely clean and felt comfortable leaving my personal belongings there. They also provide towels and bags for your swimwear when you’re done. When we got to the lagoon, it was quite busy and everyone with their mobile phones getting selfies/group shots. This really doesn’t make it feel very relaxing. For those wanting to take pics, you can buy a plastic phone cover at the lagoon bar, but try and leave your phone and enjoy the experience! I think the Sky Lagoon would really benefit from a no mobile phone policy and a photographer for a quick snap if you want one. That’s my personal opinion. The bar staff did their best, I ordered two rounds of drinks while I was there and each time they forgot one of the drinks. There is also a clock at the bar if you need to know the time. The lagoon had nowhere to place your drink glasses when you were done, this meant there were little piles of plastic glasses dumped on the rocks in the seating areas in the lagoon - the wind blew one pile and one fell onto the head of someone sat there! The seven step ritual was ok, the exfoliant smelt divine and we loved the sauna and steam room. Make sure you get your 7 step ritual done early on if you’re on a time limit for pickups, then you can kick back and enjoy the lagoon. So all in all, not fully the experience I had in my mind, but one that was worth doing nonetheless.

Beautiful place, but way too crowded and loud to be calming and relaxing - Nice place and, in theory, a nice concept. However, it is a tourist hot spot where everybody needs to take a thousand photos. If you really want like to relax and enjoy the water, you should spend your money elsewhere. The "Ritual" is totally overpriced and not worth it, at least when the lagoon is fully booked. With less people it might be nice.
