Additional Information

Choosing to bike around the Bay of Kotor offers an incredible opportunity to discover the region’s old towns and historical stories.

This journey begins either from the Old town of Kotor or Tivat, marking the start of our adventure. During the outing, you’ll encounter unique sites like the UNESCO-protected, deserted ‘Tresorela’ palace and the ‘Temple of the Holy Mother’, the region’s biggest Catholic church. You’ll then have the chance to hop on a quick ferry ride, taking you across the bay to the opposite side. A cycle to Risan and Perast provides a moment for rest and rejuvenation at a local bar whilst you admire the bay’s scenery. Following this break, there’s a brief boat tour to visit a small island housing the Church of Our Lady of the Rock in Perast. We then resume our biking journey towards our starting point, during which you’ll observe historical landmarks such as Our Lady of the Angel, Verige pass, and a few others.
This tour spans 45 km with predominantly flat terrains, barring a single uphill stretch. The main roads used for the majority of the tour are shared with cars, so caution is advised.

An enjoyable ride round the bay - We really enjoyed the tour, the places visited and our guide was very helpful and knowledgeable. I did, however, find it difficult to get on and off a bike with a crossbar (normally for men) as I am not very tall and had to tilt the bike almost to the floor to mount and dismount. The roads can be very busy, which can be scary at times, but there are many places where you can use tracks at a lower level to avoid hills and the traffic too.

Best way of Seeing the bay and Getting a fun Workout at the same time - Everything was just perfect. The guide showed up right on time and was very friendly and knowledgeable, the tour covered every angle of the beautiful bay, lunch options plentiful, and the workout was great (nothing too difficult). At the end of the tour, you’ll feel like you’ve really gotten to know the bay well, and your body will say “thank you”!

Amazing! - This is a must do for cycle enthusiasts. It's a great way to take in the sight and sounds of Boka Bay and you can stop to take as many photos as you like along the way. My guide, Ivana was superb, so informative and fun to ride with :D

Spectacular views of Kotor Bay - Ivana met us at Sea Gate and began our 4.5 hour bike around the Bay of Kotor. She set a reasonable pace and offered stops along the way for water, pictures, and a coffee in Perast. This tour was a perfect way to enjoy the spectacular beauty of Kotor Bay and to stay active while we were on vacation. Thank you Ivana for a lovely day!
