Additional Information

Embark on an exclusive journey to The German Nazi Penal Labour and Extermination Camp in Treblinka, where over 800,000 Polish Jews were slaughtered during World War II. This six-hour tour will take you through the former campgrounds and share the stories of those who survived.

Treblinka, specifically Treblinka II, is the second largest death camp, following Birkenau, where German and Austrian Nazis executed more than 800,000 Polish Jews and subjected tens of thousands more Poles to a neighboring forced labour camp.

Treblinka sets itself apart from other similar locations. You will not see barracks or crematoria. Jews from the Warsaw Ghetto were transported here under appalling conditions by train and then pushed directly from the railway platform to gas chambers. Forty minutes later, the bodies of the victims were buried in enormous mass graves.

The thick forest enclosing the site creates an almost eerie ambiance. The beauty of the surrounding natural environment, contrasted with the awareness of the terrible tragedy that took place here, triggers profound emotions.

A+ quality customer experience - An excellent tour with a very professional guide Marcin. Also all the small things that one might not notice when all goes well including on-time pick-up from the agreed place, good transportation, kind attitude and so on. We were given the chance to explore the Treblinka grounds also by ourselves in addition to good presentation and information from our guide. The tour included a lunch which was also a nice experience. Strong recommendation for this trip. Dziękuję Marcin.

Good way to see this sad place - Great trip with Marcin who was able to give us a private, informative tour of the sad history of Treblinka as well as provide some insight into Poland as a whole. Really good, leisurely tour.

Unforgettable trip to Treblinka! - Best Guide Ever! Marcin was my guide on the Treblinka trip. I learned so much on this trip, regarding information about the camp, Polish history in general and even some current events. The extent of his knowledge is amazing. Also he is just a nice person. I did not want the trip to end. I find myself viewing things with a different perspective. I wish I could take the trip over again but I have to go home. Thank you so much Marcin. The trip was unforgettable!

Overall great experience of our Treblinka tour - My husband and I so enjoyed our tour of Treblinka with our guide. Marcin Hilgier. He offered us a wealth of information regarding the history behind Treblinka, answered all our inquiries promptly and allowed us ample time to view all the structures. Went out of his way to stop and let us take some photos on the drive home and made excellent selections at the restaurant for lunch!

Heartrending and reflective opportunity to understand more about the history of Treblinka - This was a fascinating and informative trip. Marcin was not only a great source of information for the trip and Treblinka itself, but also a sharp, interesting and well-informed guy to talk with more generally about the Polish political and world context. We enjoyed his company and the trip immensely, albeit a tragic and heart-rending reminder of the inhumanities this country and its people faced.

Day trip to Treblinka - Marcin was a great guide. He showed up on time and the trip went according to schedule. He took time to answer all our questions about Treblinka and Polish history. During lunch we also learned a lot about living in Poland and polish culture.
