The hosting family will retrieve you from your accommodation and escort you to a nearby bazaar to purchase fresh produce and seasonings. During this excursion, you’ll gain insight into the components and distinctive spice blends that give the local cuisine its signature taste. Beyond the culinary lesson, you’ll be privy to an enriching experience within their residence, observing everyday life and engaging with the household members. Preparing dal bhat, a staple dish, is straightforward: prepare the vegetables and season them with a medley of spices including turmeric, cumin, ginger, and garlic to enhance the flavor. Great evening with nice cooking - Cooking with a local family was a very nice experience at the end of our trip through Nepal. We started by going to the local market to buy fresh vegetables. These were then prepared with us and the family, resulting in a very tasty dal bhat. It was a very nice evening.

Best Dal Bhat experience - It was an amazing experience meeting this lovely nepali family in their own home for homemade food! We went to the market to buy the vegetables and got the opportunity to experience a real local market before hitting towards the house to share a moment together in the kitchen. The hosts were super friendly and we spent a great evening togheter. Best Dal Bhat in town!

Amazing experience with locals. - We spent half a day in this beautiful family. Before to reach the house, we have been to the market with our host. We could discover with him many vegetables we didn't know, and we could also taste it ! After the food shopping, we went to the house : the two women in charge of the cooking class were his wife and sister in law : two beautiful and smiling women. We helped them to cook for 2 hours : we pilled, cut, and tried to learn how to make the curry and de dhal. At the end, we ate with the family : it was one of my better dal bath I ave ever eaten in Nepal.

Nepali Cooking with friends - It was an great experience. But all we did was cut vegetables. We where the first group so she was nervous. But maybe a list with ingredients and a detailed recipe should be great so that you know how to make it yourself. But the girl next door Darshana was great to have around. Food was great and I enjoyed it every second
