Randoli Perahera

The sequence of Five ‘Randoli’ Perahera events takes place subsequent to the Kumbal Perahera, occurring daily for a duration of five days. Of these processions, the most extravagant and visually stunning is the Randoli Perahera (the parade with the golden palanquin). Throughout this time, the city of Kandy is brimming with both international visitors and local onlookers.
This Perahera is distinctive as it is the sole procession globally that extends over a ten-day period, featuring innumerable drummers, dancers, vocalists, along with ornately attired devotees and members of the audience.
