Fun time outdoors and amazing food! - This was such a fun experience. It was great to get away from the traditional tourist areas and be out in nature. The guides and the dog were fantastic, so friendly and engaging and made sure everyone could participate. The meal we cooked with the truffles we found was absolutely fantastic and even my sister, who hates truffle flavored things, loved the food!

Amazing day hunting and eating truffles. - Meeting the tour leaders and their dog was just the beginning. They explained the process and answered our questions while many in our group took time to pet and get close to the dog (Bento??) who was the star of the show. When we were in the search area he took off and found 3 truffles total, one was the size of a golf ball.
Once we finished finding truffles we went back to our start area and a picnic was setup. A large hanging skillet was setup to make our lunch which was very delicious! We had pasta with mushrooms topped by grated truffles. It was an amazing event.

Loved this experience - Fantastic day. Did this excursion on a Viking Ocean Cruise to Greece. Fun and informative in a Forrest setting. After the dog found 5 truffles we were treated to a delicious outdoor lunch where the truffles were skillfully prepared with a creamy pasta dish and accompanied with wine. I had been on a truffle hunt in France but this one was much better. Gracious and fun hosts. Don't hesitate. Enjoy this experience.

Top Quality Event! - This event was rated tops by a clear majority of our tour group. My own experience was truly magical and memorable for many reasons: the surprising, sweet and talented dog, Laura; the enchanted-feeling woods; the spectacular cooking, entertainment level as well as over the top delicious truffle pasta!; and the kindness and intimacy of the trainer with the dog, as well as the courteous and efficient conduction of the whole event.

Great experience, friendly and approachable guides, and lovely dogs! Had a good time, would recommend! - I had a great time during the truffle hunting experience. The two guides were clearly very experienced, and were very open on sharing about their experience, how to see and check if the truffles were good ones fit for consumption, as well as how they preserve the natural environment to allow the truffles to continue to flourish. The dog was very adorable and loved human pats. There was also a very friendly stray dog that joined us on the hunt, clearly learning from his certified buddy. The pasta was also very yummy, I had a blast.
Tips would be to make sure to wear long pants and shoes as this is a forested area and there are sharp leaves/branches here and there.

An amazing day at the Truffle-Hunting grounds: a must-see experience! - A warm, educating and wonderful experience for everyone! I went on the Truffle Hunting tour with my family last month, and we had a splendid time!
We met at a forest, and as the tour staff told us all about the thought and action of mushroom hunting, we followed Bandora (the truffle-hunting dog) along the beautiful roads of the forest to find many different kinds of mushrooms, to later on cook them into a delicious, unforgettable dish.
The entire crew was incredibly welcoming, and happily, along with a guided visit to the beautiful Nature Museum of Kalabaka, this day and experience will definitely bring back good memories. If you’re somewhere around Meteora, don’t forget to stop by! I highly recommend it.

Must do in Meteora - Totally worth my time and money for this precious experience! The dogs are so friendly and smart. We have a patient guide who is very clear with the explanation and never forget the yummy mushroom truffle pasta we had. You will regret if u miss this activity in Meteora.

A Great Truffle Hunt! - We're not sure what expect in full but didn't matter because it was an amazing experience. Met tour leader a ventured to a forest full of old oak trees where also met the rest of the truffle hunt team including the energetic dog who was soon finding truffles and bring them to us.
A meal of mushrooms, pasta with other nice ingredients PLUS fresh truffle shavings on top... Yum... was made for us, plus wine and finally mushroom sweets.
It was a fabulous experience and the 'truffle team' were so friendly and knowledgable!
