Sunset tour highly recommended! - Great tour on a comfortable small bus. Our tour guide Kate was a wealth of information and patiently answered any questions posed. So convenient to get picked up and dropped off at our hotel. Highly recommend.

Fabulous! - This trip covered much more than expected. We stopped to enjoy the views and take pictures of all of the monasteries and visited one of them. Additionally, we visited a church. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Great experience - The sunset tour was very informative - viewing monasteries and churches. Able to enter one monastery which was beautiful - the church in it was small and crowded but the courtyard was beautiful with a nice view of the valley. Women are provided with wraps if they are wearing pants/shorts/ or dresses not covering down to knees. Men are allowed in wearing longer shorts. No tank tops are allowed. Vassily was our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and very helpful in taking family/couple pictures at all of the view points. We rode a van around most of Kastriki to see the different monasteries from different viewpoints. At sunset the van took us to the best viewpoint to watch the sunset. Unfortunately every one else knows that spot too but the van got us to the point without having to park a half mile down and walk to the viewpoint. We also did a short hike to a viewpoint of a historic cave built into the side of the cliffs. It was very encompassing and gave us a good overall knowledge of the monasteries and the surrounding area. Worth the trip!
