Excellent Service - I spent only for 45 minutes in Bukit Rhema bcs I need to go travel to another beautiful places in Jogja but I feel very Comfy yet secured with the health protocol from the staff during this corona virus issues , they really handle it very serious , such as we were devided per group to tour the whole area maybe 4 persons per group and lucky me when I was there , not so many people visited the place and hand sanitizers are provided every corner area and staff encouraged all visitor to use it. I really happy and feel relief with that kind of rules in this remote location. And I would like to thank you to Mas Afif who give us the warmest welcome and his sincere hospitality and give us complete explanation such a great communicator abt the history and answered our some questions there in the first time and thank you to Mas Aveq too who incharged on the floor before the roof top , he is so polite and friendly and very care bcoz he remind us to be careful on the stair to the rooftop. And guess what it was amazing on the roof top, I was amazed of how great thou art. I can see beautiful view up there and Borobudur view but they set limited time to be there but it was okay.. so my 45 minutes is priceless , meet awesome people with sincere hospitality and with best view up there and new historical story that I never known . Thank you so much

Antique building - The architect who designed this building was not very proficient, when he wanted to go up to the roof top his head had to bow because it was very low

Cluck cluck Sosis bakar - Had a great time, would recommend paying the extra to take the little jeep up the hill as it’s very steep! The locals are lovely and don’t be shocked if you are asked for a picture with them, they love a ‘Bule’ (foreigner) The little restaurant in the tail offers great views of the jungle and lovely sausage on a stick (Sosis bakar) other Indonesian food is available. The trip here is off the beaten track so not as busy as others but is worth the trip, when else will you see a church in the shape of a chicken?

Interesting building (formerly a Church), Nice Scenic Views - Visited the "Chicken" Church with a friend in conjunction with my Borobudur visit. Not an easy place to access when the building sits atop a very steep almost 60° slope! Formerly a church, it has become a "tourist place" with different religions being featured and small rooms for people to pray. Atop the "chicken" head, beautiful 360° scenery as far as the eyes can see and nice photos to take. Some free tapioca snacks comes with the 30k Rph entry fees (for foreigners). Overall, visit this place only if you have time to kill and no other place to go.

An interesting stop off after visiting Borobudur temple. - Please can you change the name of this attraction as this place of prayer is not a chicken. The design is of a Dove with a crown on its head. Depicting PEACE for all. This place also isn’t a church, it’s a house of prayer. The residents find it insulting calling it a chicken. So please change the title of this attraction. Do your research correctly.

Meant as Pigeon NOT Chicken - It is said that this Church was built in a shape of Pigeon as a symbol of ‘Peace’ in which this Church is meant for Catholic & Christian. However, from above eventually people recognized this more as Chicken instead. To get there, all vehicle must park in parking area, you should walk up a bit to buy ticket (@IDR 30,000) and plus IDR 15,000 for riding a jeep back-forth 150m as the stairs is very stiff and slippery when wet.

Can give a miss if you are tight for time. - Not worth a visit if you’re tight for time. Nothing very interesting, although you will get to up to the crown and see the sights from the top. There also free snack as part of the ticket admission. When we were there, they were also repainting the “chicken” - I’d have preferred they not as the structure now looks rather cartoon-y. Won’t miss out if you don’t visit this place.

Dishonest local operator for a joke of a place! - Disonest local Tour Operator and the place is a pitifully looking building that gives a feel of a dump!. I was denied the entrance to the inside oof the "Chicken Church" as the local ticket office personnel has never heard of VIATOR aso I was demanded to pay extra! Not worth neither of spending your dollar nor of your time. The worst of the local greediness and disrespect at its highest. Avoid the disappointment.. I regret ever going there!

Visited out of curosity - Do not know what to make out of this place. Think it would have been more respectful if they had built it as a observation tower. Nice view though.
