Great time with Alaska Tales - We had a great time on our whale watching trip with Alaska Tales! Mark, Greg, and Monica showed us a great time and many whales. We saw several Humpbacks and numerous Orcas. They also showed us a lot of other wildlife. If you come to Juneau, this is the company to use for your whale watching adventure!

MoonCheese in Juneau - There were ~43 ppl on boat. They gave small snack and offered water. Staff was courteous and informative about whales common to area. We got to see Mooncheese and "Gouda" (my name for baby) breaching and active, so it was a successful trip. Great pic oops. We saw seals, too. They can't control weather...quite nippy and drizzly. It was a great experience for my family. You could stay in main cabin (open window) or go to front or top level for a view WITH the full weather exposure. Inside seats were cushiony. Trip to initial site took ~40 mins ETA. 10/10.

From Tamp to Juneau - We had a great experience with Alaska tales got to see a few hump back Wales and orcas. Mark the captain got us to and from safely and Greg and Monica did a great job dropping tons of information on us as well as assisting us with spotting the whales. Be ready with your smartphone they give you 2 -3 seconds to take a good pic.

Lots of whales! - The whale watching tour was a last minute decision. We signed up only an hour before they left in Juneau. My dad and I loved it! Our guide, Charlie, was excited about the adventure and gave us tons of information about the whales. We even saw a few she recognized in her book of whale tails. We saw at least a dozen whales on our trip which was unforgettable. We were disenchanted with the bus ride in/out due to the bus driver leaving his microphone on while having a conversation that no one else could hear. That got old pretty fast. That was the only critique we had. Everyone on the boat, Charlie, Sophie, and James were delightful and worked their butts off! We highly recommend this tour!

Great staff - I’m rating this 5 stars bc the staff was so unbelievably amazing! They were knowledgeable and so nice! I was a little disappointed with how far away we were from the whales bc I imagined we would be able to get closer. I do realize this is what’s best for the animals so I respect that ultimately. Overall, I had a great time!

A great experience- would have been even better with a little more time there! - We had great weather in Juneau as we headed out to see whales! The driver and guides were all very knowledgeable and friendly. Would have loved a bit more time actually seeing the whales…a lot of the trip was getting there. We also didn’t realize we’d be stopping to pick up people at Mendenhall, though that meant we got a good photo up from the bus. Other than wanting more time actually whale watching, we were very pleased with this excursion!
