Highlights
  • Le Tour De India - The Ride Begins with slow walks through the pastoral paths, to master the walk it’s important to relax in the saddle. We trot on these pompous horses through the open fields as the cold breeze is brushing against us. Amidst the lush green fields, we take a short stop at a house for our horses to drink some water while we enjoy some freshly picked fruits from the fields and a hot cup of tea.
We then continue to ride through the village. In this beautiful morning, we will see how the rural India wakes up and continue their morning chores. We then get the horses canter into the sandy river beds heading into the village farmlands where the village folk are exhilarated at the sight of these majestic animals galloping through the fields. One may feel like the regal Maharaja of the ancient era who has come to check if everything is running fine in his territory. Moreover, the ride in the countryside or to the off-beaten trails offers ample excitement.

Experience the enchanting countryside, quaint villages, the expansive ecosystem of the Aravalis, and the colorful culture of this region. Embark on an unforgettable ride atop the stunning Marwari horse breed along the unique trails of Aravalli, paths steeped in tales from the majestic era of royalty.

The Exceptional Marwari Horses

We employ Marwari horses, a breed native to Rajasthan, that have been trained in our own stables. Renowned for their intelligence, loyalty, and suitability for extended rides in this terrain, these horses are truly special. The most distinctive characteristics of these Rajasthani horses are their harp-shaped ears which curve inwards, often touching at the tips. Not just enhancing their hearing acuity, these ears can rotate 180 degrees.

Our Dedication

Ensuring the safety of both the rider and the horses is our foremost concern. We utilize the highest quality equipment and gear, experienced and certified tour guides, and adhere to international standards of safety procedures.

Amazing experience for any horse lover! - My husband and I visited Rajputana Riding & Polo Club during my 50th birthday trip of a lifetime to India. Being an avid equestrian myself, I always try to go riding when we head somewhere exotic, and I knew that I just HAD to try to find somewhere that I could ride the beautiful & exotic Marwari horse. After doing my research online and via Tripadvisor, I was delighted to find that there was somewhere near Jaipur which had some very good reviews. Top of my list is knowing that where I am booking looks after their horses and, second to that, that we will also be safe and looked after. I loved the fact that we would be guided by an ex-Indian Army Captain and that we would be booking at an established riding and polo club – always a big tick from the off. Also that the ride started very early in the morning so the heat of the day would not affect the horses, so another big tick. I had lots of questions which I asked via Tripadvisor and all were answered swiftly and politely. I was given a mobile number for contact via WhatsApp when we were in India and this helped with a very easily arrival process. Our entire visit was wonderful. We were met on arrival by DP Singh, the owner, and he gave us refreshments and helped sort us out with riding boots and helmets. We were both assessed and taken to meet our horses. Both were STUNNING and beautifully kept. The tack was English so familiar and comfortable. We had a short riding assessment in the outdoor menage before heading out for a ride around the countryside and to the river’s edge for photos and a gallop. We were, indeed, accompanied all the way by our ex-Army Captain, and also the stable dog who decided she was going to accompany us for the whole ride! Closely followed also by a support vehicle with refreshments and also a bit of extra support for my husband who found the energetic Marwari a little testing for his limited riding abilities. After returning to the Club, we were given the privileged opportunity of having a ride on two of their Polo ponies and try our hand at the game itself! My husband, an avid Golfer, was a dab hand at Polo, completely showing me up with my weak wrists, but it was hilarious fun and what a great way to finish off the morning. Afterwards we were shown the other polo ponies and their plans for the future and then offered a wonderful home cooked breakfast. We were a little dubious about eating as we had managed to steer clear of the infamous ‘Delhi Belly’ on our trip by playing safe and only eating at the hotels, but we decided to take the risk and we are so glad we did! The lovely omelette set us both up for our long journey back to Dehli and our homebound flight, and we still managed to finish our trip with intact tummies! So I can highly recommend accepting the breakfast offer! Our trip to RRPC was one of the highlights of my holiday of a lifetime and I can highly recommend anyone to experience horse riding in India with the wonderful DP and his team!

A morning ride to remember - While in Rajasthan my husband and I and our two girls of 14 and 12 were keen to try and find a place to ride. It would have been wonderful to go for some days on a horse safari, but we hadn’t enough time, so we settled this time on going for a shorter ride. I’m so happy we came across Khush at Le Tour de India and DP Bana and his stud farm. We were taken in as friends to join a wonderful morning ride through villages and fields outside Jaipur. It was a completely different and wonderful experience to ride the sensitive, spirited and forward-going Marwani horses. Much care was taken by the captain leading the ride to ensure that everyone was managing with their mounts. When we returned after a great ride we sat in the shade to enjoy a lovely spread for breakfast, and then had a great time getting on a couple of the fantastic polo ponies they have at the stables, and trying to play some polo – so much fun! Aside from the wonderful horses and riding, what also made this such a special experience was the warmth and friendliness of all those involved. Khush from Le Tour de India, who organised the morning ride was as helpful as it’s possible to be. I had mentioned to him when we were organising our trip that we’d love to see a polo match while we were in Jaipur, and he written back to say that the season was unfortunately over. But the day we arrived in Jaipur he surprised us by writing to say that he had set things up for us to go and watch a match that evening! Great fun to go to the polo ground and take it all in. DP Bana, who met us and looked after us like family at the polo match and the next day at his stud farm from where we went on our morning ride, was just so generous and warm in including us and introducing us to his friends, who also joined us the next day for the morning ride. Altogether very special, as it felt as though we made a real connection with each other in just a short time. Way over and above the usual tourist experience. Thank you all. Very much hope to see you again.

The perfect day for a horse lover! - Khushal was incredibly helpful in setting up our day and making sure it was one to remember. We were traveling to India for my best friend's 50th birthday and as she is an avid rider and lover of horses this seemed like the perfect adventure. Khush quickly responded to my emails regarding our trip and was excited to help make my friend's birthday truly special. We started off the day early at the stud farm and picked which horses we wanted to ride. Their Marwari horses are beautiful and very well cared for. There are many other horse tours in Jaipur but when I saw pictures of the horses at these other places and read their reviews I was hesitant. The horses looked skinny and not well kept. The horses that we rode and all of them at the stud farm looked happy and healthy! They allowed us to ride around for a bit to make sure we were comfortable with our horse and then off we went! We rode for about 10 miles though time seemed to go by so quickly. The trail starts out through small countryside villages with locals who come out to wave and say "hello". We meandered through the streets of a small town and around the countryside of Jaipur. We trotted and could have cantered but I was a bit timid as I had not ridden a horse for a while. Our guides were friendly and knowledgeable and I felt very safe the entire time despite not being on a horse for years. We ended our ride at the polo club where 3 of our guides played and we spent the rest of the morning learning about the club's history, its horses and riders and watching them practice. We even got to try a bit of polo ourselves! It was great fun! They made a lovely buffet breakfast and at the end of the morning Khush surprised my friend with a birthday cake! Everyone joined in to sing her "happy birthday". We both almost started crying. It was just so sweet. We felt so welcomed and part of the family in such a short time it was so incredibly special. I cannot recommend this experience enough for anyone who loves horses and wants to see a bit more of Jaipur than the typical tour. My only regret is that we were not able to stay for the polo match later that night. I recommend allowing time for this in your schedule as I have no doubt it would be a very unique experience.
