Amazing surf lesson experience - I had a surf lesson with Jay yesterday at Jaco beach and it was such a great experience! He’s a really good instructor and had my up on the board catching waves within 10 minutes into the lesson! He was super chilled out and was very patient. It was such a fun couple of hours and made me feel like a kid again lol I highly recommend Jay and when I next come back to Costa Rica, I’ll be having more lessons with him. Thanks again Jay! The best place in Jaco for surf lessons and board rentals - This is the best place in Jaco, CR to learn how to surf. If you are thinking about a surf lesson or if you need to rent a surfboard then Jay of Sababa Surf is the best guy to learn from. He is patient, kind and will have you up on your first waves within one lesson. Jay and his wife speak fluent english and honestly you can't find a better place to take lessons in Jaco. Also, Jay is a honest person and he will not take advantage of you or your family. There are many surf business that look to exploit travelers by renting broken surfboards and then trying to charge them when the board breaks completely. Jay will not do that. He's a great person and I highly recommend that you take lessons/rent boards from his business.

First time surfer - Jay and Lucy are great! Jay is a great teacher and had me catching waves halfway through the lesson. I also rented a board for a couple of days after that. Wonderful people, and I'm excited to visit them again next time I visit Costa Rica!

My favourite surf lesson ever! - I have taken surf lessons in Hawaii, California, and Italy and this one was the best experience by far! The level of care that they showed was wonderful - from the booking process, to helping me in the water, to offering a nice place to shower off after the lesson was done. BEST PLACE FOR SURFING - We decided to try surfing with. Sababa, and we couldn't choose better! They are great, they treat you with family and they teach you to love this sport...without a doubt the BEST PLACE IN JACÓ to learn or improve. A++++++

Professional and credible crew for your first surf lesson - The couple running the Sababa Surf Lessons are generous, professional and pedagogical. Instructor J is experienced, calm and patient, making the client feel comfortable in a situation new to them. The surf camp is well organized, neat and nicely maintained, and water, seating and resting is included in the price, as well as sun protective long sleeve tops. I truly recommend any beginner - even the scared ones - to take their first surfing lesson with this team.

Amazing instructor and Staff - 3 friends took a 2 hour class and Jay was kind and patient. Made everyone feel confident before we even stepped on the boards. Great experience

EXCELLENT! - Save yourself some time and head directly to Jay if you want to surf in Jaco. I booked others people before I found Jay and I was absolutely disappointed with the first instructors. However, Jay was cool yet professional, taught me lots of new stuff. If I ever return to Jaco, I will only learn with him. 100% satisfied. 5 stars!

Cowabunga - Area was nice and instructor was helpful. I had a great time. If I wasn’t so old and out of shape I’d do it again tomorrow.
