Amazing 3 hours - The best guided tour experience ever! I did glacier hiking with Žanet. She was amazing!! She was so informative, helpful and warm hearted! Also I love her jokes. Plus, she is amazing photographer, yay! Also she gave some photo time and showed nice photo spots. Amazing fissures. At the beginning i got so scared of falling down or some other accident. But Žanet made me feel safe. Each step on the glacier was so precious🩵 I'd highly recommend this glacier hiking program.

Amazing walk on a glacier! - What a fantastic tour! Starting from the friendly team greeting us upon arrival, to our knowledgeable and energetic tour guide Franzy, just an amazing tour overall! The small group tour allowed us to walk a little further than expected and we ended up seeing a small waterfall and experiencing a ‘Viking push-up’. Take the tour and experience it for yourself!

Super walk with amazing ice views - We meet up with the group next to the airport. We were given cranpons and a stick each before we drove to the ice. Our guide Franzy was very good at explaining how to use the equipment and what we saw. We spent 3 hrs and walked 2 hrs on the ice It was good with a small group (8 pers) and we were almost the only ones on the ice at the. We just finished when the rain started.

Perfect experience, great guide, totally worth it! - They take you straight to the Falljokull glacier by cool 4x4 offroad jeep and you don't have to walk from parking like most others! We actually skipped the whole line of other big groups at the beginning of the glacier, because there were just 5 of us including guide! It was very warm and personal like a private tour. Our guide told us many interesting facts and we could all the time ask questions as well. It was very nice and valuable experience and we were just a bit sorry for not choosing the longer option. Thumbs up @melrakkiadventures, totally recommended! TAKK! Mike and Vendy

Amazing - This was a highlight of our trip to Iceland. As soon as I saw "evening walk", I knew we had to rearrange our schedule to do this and I am so glad we did. We geared up at the Skaftafell Tour Center then drove right up to the glacier -- in a "tractor disguised as a car" as our guide, Katerina, said. Rather than starting with a mile walk from the car/bus parking, we crossed the bridge and were there. We were on the glacier putting on crampons and getting a safety briefing half an hour after we met at the tour center. There were just 6 on our hike, including our guide and by 7pm, we were the only ones on the mountain. It was so peaceful and when we stopped moving, we could hear the mountain noises -- mostly the crackling of ice and the gurgling of water. We were all in reasonably good shape and were able to climb a substantial way up the mountain. We would stop regularly to take photographs and every time we expected that would be the last stop before heading back down. Katerina just kept saying we could go a little higher. She gave us the history of the glacier and told of her personal experience and observations as a guide for the past few years. She told us of the specific signs she was watching for that might indicate danger and was ever aware of each of us. She slowed up or moved faster according to the group and even had extra gloves for one participant who had forgotten his. She pointed out tubes and ice melt shafts that might become ice caves come winter and told us of the glacier-guide competition to find the best caves. She had us drink the water so we could really appreciate its purity. She didn't rush us and did her best to make sure we really enjoyed the experience. We were on the mountain a full 2.5 hours of the 3 hour tour! She even stopped the truck on the way back so we could pick and taste some crowberries -- a staple in the diet of the sheep. Yes, we were a little late getting back to the tour center parking lot but we didn't mind.

Incredible - I don’t know where to start. Look no further... Melrakki Adventures offers the PERFECT glacier walk. Not only was it the best experience I had in Iceland, but one of the most memorable things I’ve ever done. The best advice I could give is to book the evening walk - we had the entire glacier completely to ourselves. The most incredible, surreal, beautiful experience. Oddur was the perfect guide, full of knowledge and passion for his job. I’ll never forget this. They’re a brand new company so the gear is top notch and the emphasis is on smaller groups, where you’re driven right up to the glacier. On the way there we passed buses belonging to other tour companies. A quick search online reveals the competitors take larger groups, it seems they can’t get as close, and they’re slightly more expensive. Book a walk with Melrakki today. Promise you won’t regret it!
