The program will start with the visit of Cai Be floating market cruising among local barges full of fruits and vegetables. At 7:30 in the morning, our guide will meet you at your hotel and from there we’ll head to Cai Be Village. Your adventure commences with a visit to Cai Be floating market where you’ll cruise alongside local barges brimming with fruits and vegetables. If you choose, we can make extra stops at local workshops where you’ll get to see demonstrations of how to make honey, coconut candy, pop-rice, and popcorn. A Halal lunch will be served alfresco, under the local Island fruit trees.
Post lunch, a rowing boat will lead you further into the countryside, through smaller canals, allowing you to peacefully absorb the environment. You’ll witness traditional houses made from wood and palm tree leaves and observe local farmers at work. This gives you an opportunity to interact with them and learn about their ancestral methods of fishing and fruit collection in the Mekong Delta. While listening to traditional music, you can savour some fruits from their garden. Your journey concludes back at your hotel around 4:30 in the afternoon.
