- Håkøybotn - Your guide will take you to a hike through beautiful arctic forest on a place where we will have a campfire. You will learn and if wanted, participate to make the campfire, fetch water from the stream for coffee (water here in arctic is very clean and drinkable straight from streams), make a coffee on a campfire and if it rains, no worries! You will learn to build an easy shelter from tarp and enjoy the coffee or tea moment while listening rain dropping against the tarp.
You will hear forest stories, learn plants and nature and even climb up to a tree if wanted! This tour is suitable for all, including children, who enjoy being outdoors and are able to do a 5 km hike. We run this tour as long as the snow arrives (normally around November-December). After that we will run same tour with snow shoes.

This excursion offers a leisurely trek through a picturesque arctic forest, nestled amidst mountains and the sea, visible through the tree gaps. You will be regaled with tales of the forest, gain insight into the local flora, and may even scale a tree!
You’ll be offered the opportunity to acquire practical survival skills such as setting up a campfire, sourcing water from a stream (arctic streams provide potable and unpolluted water), and brewing coffee over a campfire. Ever sipped coffee made over a campfire? It’s an experience not to be missed! And should it rain, fear not! You will be taught how to construct a simple tarpaulin shelter, inside which you can listen to the patter of the rain while savoring your coffee, complemented by characteristic Nordic treats like rye bread topped with cold smoked salmon.
