Beautiful views & amazing tour guide! - Our tour guide, Marita, was AMAZING! She truly made the experience more enjoyable than it already was. She switched our days since one day was supposed to be really nice and one day was more misty & rainy. We appreciated this so much and it just made the whole trip more enjoyable. She was very knowledgeable, funny, and personable — she even threw in an additional stop at Fairy Glen for us because it was misty (& to her, therefore more magical!) that day. We have been in Scotland for several weeks and this was the highlight of our trip. Definitely recommend! Our accommodations were nice as well (b&b double room) with an ocean view.

Leave the driving to them! - We were staying in Inverness, but a goal was to see Isle of Skye. Trains & driving were not an option. We found Timberbush Inverness 2-day that included an overnight stay in Portree. We were in a 16 seat Mercedes van, equipped with a phone charging ports & Chris Allan as our driver. Within minutes, he was giving a history lesson to the name on a local sign & what this building we were passing was used for. Chris gave us a insight of where we were, any history that went with it, local activities (climbing the highlands: 'Yes, you can hike it, but you will get bit by the midges') & was ok making unscheduled stops if there was something interesting (Highland cows!) We also had fun with some Scottish sing-a-longs on the way back. You could tell that Chris enjoys his job & sharing his country with people who come near & far (Australia!) to experience the area.

2 day Isle of Skye bus tour. - We thoroughly enjoyed the 2 day Isle of Skye tour. The scenery is breathtaking and amazing. Our weather was cooperative- which can never be guaranteed, but we lucked out! Marita was our tour guide and was fun, humerous and educational. We had a great time at the stops and she tried to accommodate the little things that people wanted to see along the way for quick photo ops- there were never any promises, but again, we lucked out to see some Coos! I would certainly travel with Marita again. She made us feel like family.

Absolutely Awesome - We really enjoyed this 2 day tour with Chris Allan (our tour guide). He was so easy going and fun, and took us to so many great places to get the perfect photos; it was really appreciated. Ticket entry to castles etc. are not included, but that's clearly listed in the tour details; and this way you have the option to choose what / how much you want to do. We lucked out with the weather and with the other tour companions - we all meshed together really well, being of similar energy levels and sense of humor. Our accommodations in Portree were very nice and centrally located in town, plus the dinner at the hotel was super yummy. We could not have asked for a better experience.

Highly Recommend - Awesome tour from beginning to end. We saw much more than I expected, and Chris Allan (our tour guide) was wonderful - informative, fun, easy going. The acommodations in Portree were great. We had luck with the weather and all the other tour participants were great too, so that really helped round this up to a great experience.

Amazing 2-day Isle of Skye tour with Alana! - We had an amazing 2-day tour of Isle of Skye with Timberbush! We felt like we were able to see a lot of what Skye had to offer, without feeling rushed. Even though it rained for much of the trip, the views were still incredible. Alana was a terrific guide! She was knowledgable and informative, friendly and funny!

Miles of happy Highland memories - We very much enjoyed the 2 day tour. Our driver was Andy S. With Timberbrush tours. His knowledge of the land, the landmarks, legends and history was impressive. He added humor in his commentary which made the trip fun and memorable. Our Hillfoot BnB in Portree was lovely with a very kind hostess. We saw so many sites and had ample time to explore and take photos. I only wish I had a printed list of all the sights to remember the names! I would give 5 stars except we were surprised that the costs to tour the castles was not included in the overall cost since it is offered as part of the tour title. Other than that we thoroughly loved our tour and very much appreciated the skillful driving of Andy S. so we could sit back and take in the lovely scenery of The Highlands!

Great tour, frustrating technical problems - Our tour guide, Liall, was AMAZING. We started out with some technical issues which was frustrating but not at all Liall’s fault and despite significant delays we were able to see everything we wanted and felt we really got the Isle of Skye experience. Liall was incredibly knowledgeable and told great stories of local history as well as mythology. Could not have asked for a better guide, just wish the technically issues had had cleaner, quicker solutions.

Skye & Fairy Pools 2 Day Tour - I have been on at least 5 previous coach tours in Scotland as well as coach tours in England and around Europe but this was my first tour with Timberbush & I have to say this was the worst tour I have ever been on and I am not sure I would ever travel with Timberbush again. Here are some of the issues I encountered; 1. There is no shelter at the departure point so with it pelting down with rain passengers were literally getting drenched waiting for the coaches to arrive. I overheard at least 4 other passengers commenting in disbelief that the departure point was not under cover. Then to make things worse they had 3 coaches arrive at the same time which resulted in chaos as people rushed around trying to find out which coach was theirs. 2. After the first stop the drivers microphone broke on the coach so he had to return to the depot to try and get it fixed. Unable to repair it we then had to wait for a substitute coach which finally arrived after 2 hours and was smaller and less comfortable than the original coach. 3. On the return journey to the depot the luggage door had come open almost hitting a cyclist on the side of the road. A taxi driver driving in front had to stop the coach to inform the driver the door was open and he had almost hit the cyclist. 4. Although the cost of the tour includes accommodation (I will return to that) it does not include the entry fee to any of the attractions. Therefore if you wanted to visit Dunvegan Castle and Gardens as well as go on the seal boat trip it would cost you almost £30 for one adult. 5. The photo stop at Urquhart Castle only allows you to go so far before you are stopped by some railings so you can only see the castle from a distance through a gap in the railings. 6. The accommodation in Portree is supposed to be a guest house with en-suite bathroom but when the driver finally found our accommodation after having to knock on doors to ask locals we discovered we were staying in a bedroom in someones house & having to share the bathroom with other guests. If that wasn't bad enough, neither the bedroom door or bathroom door had locks on them. 7. Possibly because of the 2 hour wait for another coach which messed up the itinerary we returned to Inverness over an hour later than expected resulting in some passengers missing their connecting travel.
