Take advantage of winter to discover a day walk on and under the glacier - We did a five hour excursion to the glacier as well as to holes in the glacier and with the visit to the cave under the glacier. Go for it. The experience is fabulous. Above all, don't be like me. I had warm ski pants but the leg ends are too wide to be compatible with the use of crampons. Prefer warm pants of course but narrow at the ankles. Pavel was a precise and patient guide. He effectively helped me during more delicate passages.

Absolutely stunning walk on top of the glacier and incredible crystal blue ice formations. Really recommended stop on your trip - We had an absolute stunning trip to the Vatnajökull glacier with our guide Tom. We decided to take the longer tour where you actually walk on top of the glacier and it was absolutely worth it. We saw cravices in the glacier that were just as incredible and crystal blue as the cave, if not more so. We could take all the time we needed to enjoy the spectacular views and Tom managed to time our arrival at the highlights so that we were mostly alone there away from the large crowds. I really recommend this tour and especially to take the longer one to just enjoy this incredible experience. Tom was a super fun guide, knowledgeable and helpful, also took some nice photos of us.

Amazing blue rose! - What a great experience! My partner and I booked the extended day tour as I am a photographer and definitely wanted the extra time. Little did we know we were about to see one of the coolest ice formations I’ve ever seen! Our guide Tom was extremely professional and helpful in guiding us. He took us to a few sites across the glacier but the blue rose was the highlight! The cave was cool at the end but man that rose 🌹🤯! Don’t hesitate if you have the extra $100 or so spend it for the longer trek if your financially and physically capable. It’s absolutely worth the extra time and money!

An amazing experience! - My friends and I made quite a last minute decision to go on this trip and it was one of the best decisions we've made. The glacier and the ice cave(s) are truly breathtaking. There is nothing quite like it that I've seen before. Our guide Mímir was great. He was very knowledgeable about the glacier and it's surroundings, and taught us a great deal about it with some jokes along the way. The small scale of the tour is great (there were 3 of us at the time) and Mímir gave us plenty of space and time when we went through a cravace, ice cave or anything else "photo-worthy". When we arrived at the ice cave there were a lot of people there since there are a lot of tour operators in the area. Mímir suggested we'd do the glacier tour first. After we came back from the glacier there was barely anyone there. We had the ice cave to ourselves. Mímir told us Blue Iceland is a small family business and it shines through in a very positive way. If I'm ever in the area again, this is my tour of choice.

Experience of a lifetime! - We really wanted to hike a glacier and see natural ice caves (NOT man made) in Iceland. Blue Iceland was the only company that would allow a 4 years old on a private tour. With a 4 and 7 years old, we were able to go at our own pace. Our guide was very patient and understanding. My 4 yo said "It's like I am in a book". Thank you for the memories!

Breathtaking - We had a breathtaking and beatiful day on the glacier and in multiple ice caves with our guide Tom, who really knows how to manage a group and give interesting information on the nature while cleverly helping participants, who might have some problems moving on the glacier. Definitely recommended!

Disappointed - Did not like how we were informed last min and was asked to prove that cancellation is from their side. They did not give a full refund as can be seen on the bank statement. Disappointed with the service
