An amazing adventure! - What an amazing day! Our guide was very experienced and a wealth of information who never tired of answering our questions throughout the 14 hour day. Unlike a group tour we never had a time limit and could explore each location at our own pace. The waterfalls were amazing but the highlight for us were the black sand beach, diamond beach and Glacier Lagoon, all were other worldly places like we've never seen before. How many other chances will you have to hold an iceberg? Even two teenagers agreed it was worth every minute spent in the van.

Seals, icebergs, waterfalls, basalt columns, and even a spot for great burgers & fries! - John was a fabulous guide! The Glacier Lagoon is 5 hours from Reykjavik, so having a guide that knows a lot about Iceland and history, politics, geology and the landscape makes for a really great day. John arranged the day so that we had ample chances to get out of the minivan, see interesting sights, eat some really good food and snacks. My teenagers had a great time, and the van even had wi-fi! (lol)

Viking John was AMAZING - This was an all day event that was full of amazing scenery as well as an incredible guide who shared so much information about Iceland! Our guide was very gracious in answering the million questions we had as well! Lol we laughed and talked the whole time! The breaks were perfect and well spread out! John made sure we were well taken care of the entire day- I will be back and I will be booking him again!

South Coast in a day - worth it! - Dan was informative and entertaining, he was accommodating and planned the trip well, such that we could have a short detour to see the puffins at the black sand beach. Excellent driving and health/safety measures. The trip to Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach was out of this world!

Explore Jokulsarlon and the Iceland’s South Coast for a Unique Experience - This ranks as one of our best ever TripAdvisor booked tours. Our guide and driver, Jon, was superb, with excellent knowledge and driving skills. His explanations of Icelandic culture and the sights made the trip a great adventure and excellent first exposure to Iceland. He even added some sights that were not part of the expected itinerary. His recommended stops for meals and refreshments were a delight, and given that this was a private tour, we could enjoy the sights at our leisure before moving on. If you wish to have a unique and truly rewarding Icelandic experience, you’ll not be disappointed. Thanks again Jon!

Glacier Lagoon - Beautiful colors and shapes of these ice burgs. The area is well marked and easy to find. Very windy!

Amazing experience - Fantastic day. The early start and very long trip was rewarded walking behind a waterfall and by the amazing ice lagoon experience. Never thought I'd see icebergs up close! Recommended

Reykavik Excursions Jokulsarlon coach trip - If I was to tell you you'd be travelling on and off for 14-16 hours you'd probably say no instantly...but think again. You've travelled a day to get to Iceland and spent a good amount so why not use your time to see some amazing scenery and unique sights that will last with you forever??? We travelled with Reyjavik Excursions. Coach left 07:30 (pick up from our hotel 07:00) we returned at 23:00. BUT the excursion stops off at many stunning points - Skogafoss waterfall being a highlight, many glaciers, the volcano that stopped aviation for weeks, ever changing mountains, glaciers and desert/fluvial areas...culminating at Jokulsarlon glacial lake and the black diamond beach (the colours of the glacier icebergs are unique - blues, blacks, whites, browns, clear...). The weather we had in October was blue skies and bright sun so we were very, very lucky. The Northern Lights even made an appearance and the tour guide allowed us to stay longer and photograph it. We had booked the boat in February but 2 weeks before the trip we were told this wasnt running as too dangerous (we decided to still go as unspderstood the icebergs were still good to see from the shore) however on the day because of the great weather the guide contacted the local glacial boat excursion and it was sailing and we booked it, at a cheaper price than through the travel agent!!! It was the cherry on the top. This excursion will be with me and my wife for the rest of our lives..well worth 16 hours commitment.

Seeing the glacier and... - Seeing the glacier and lagoon. Disappointing that she didn’t get to go on the boat - it wasn’t open for the season yet. We only found out the day before. It’s a long drive - the black beaches are nice.
